My surgeon isn't requiring a liquid diet for me.

I am scheduled for bypass on Feb. 7th. Getting very excited but a little nervous!

I have been wondering the same thing. I also sing (not near to your ability) and wondering how long before I can deep enough breath to hit the notes I am used to. My surgeon told me initially that it would be about 3 weeks before I can go back to singing comfortably.

I think it is completely normal. I have my surgery 2/7 and I am feeling the same way. I know it is for the best however. Hang in there! We will get through this!

I think I would be worried if we weren't anxious to a certain extent! Good luck!

After reading other people's experiences here when they had their psych evaluations, I wasn't nervous at all. I went in and took a test of about 300 questions which took me about a half hour. Then later I met with the doctor and he asked some questions about my lifestyle, work, family, history of anxiety etc. I was in there about 10 minutes and he passed me! On to my last two dietician appointments and hopefully I will get a surgery date for me bypass!
