Chris, Your cup tower looks awesome. Great job. Oh and by the way, I made sure I had a pedicure and a full set of french manicure painted fingernails just incase I died the day of surgery. My family thought I was crazy, which is true. Otherwise, I wouldn't be taking Cymbalta. LOL I noticed you said something about your anti-depressants being time release, mine are too so what I do is open them up and dump them in my mouth and quickly take a drink of water. I can't mix it into my food. It's just nasty. Even though they are time release, they seem to still be working.

Hi, I can not believe that I just found this message you wrote on the 20th. I didn't know we had email. That's very cool that your birthday is in February and only like 5 days before mine. Very neat. We'll you look very young in your picture.
I have a question, I wen't to Hardrock Casino and then Ybor last night and I wanted a drink soooooo bad. Will we ever be allowed to have alcohol again?
Talk to you later, Robin

Hi, my name is Christee, I am 29 years old, and married to a wonderful man which is a Deputy for Pasco County, FL. I work full-time for Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole (10 years) and am a licensed Esthetician (Skin Care Specialist). I do it to family and frinds until I can find a job doing it in the evenings after my full-time job. I notice that it is really hard to get a job in a spa helping people with their skin and telling them to drink water and eat healthy when you are over weight. I was practically offered a job over the phone as an esthetician in a spa right near my house, but when I showed up to give her my resume, she gave me excuses as to why she couldn't hire me on the spot before even looking at my resume. I know it was because I was overweight. So I plan to open my own spa and hire people who are not snooty and think their shit doesn't stink. Anyway, I do not have any kids currently but have tried for about 3 years. I was told that I have PCOS but that this surgery would help and I would someday be able to get pregnant. I pray to God that I can. I love kids and would have 10 if I could afford it. What is sad, my husband is the same way, he wants lots of kids also. Sorry, I went off about the spa incident but it just frustrates me that people can be rude and judge a person by their looks. I am a wonderful person with a heart of gold. Thanks for listening.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to eat this but I am. I am having Taco Bell's Pintos and Cheese which is refried beans with cheese and taco sauce. It's is the perfect consistency and tastes delicious.

Thank goodness Faye missed us. I got very little rain. Did it rain a lot in Tampa? I loved the free day off from work.

Insky67, I had Dr. Jessee as my surgeon. Isn't she awesome? I just had my surgery 2 weeks ago. I sure hope that I lose weight because I have been stuck for a week at the same weight. Do you ever go to www.obesitynomorefl.com?

What type of mushie food are you guys eating? I need some examples. Especially since I am not losing any weight. Thanks

Okay, guys I was banded on 8-6-08 and I have only lost 9 lbs. How much has everyone lost that had their surgery around the first of this month? I am very frustrated that I have only lost 9 lbs. and I lost that within the 4 days of the surgery and have been stuck at 237 for two weeks practically. BTW, when I make my eggs, I put one egg, some skim milk and shredded cheese in a bowl and put it in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The cheese makes it really good since I hate the taste of eggs. As far as the turkey chili that was made by one of you, how were you able to get the beans down you? Did you smoosh them up? May I have the recipe? I can not find anything without carbs that I can have during the puree stage.

I was banded on August 6th and I have only lost 9 lbs. I lost those 9 lbs. four days after my surgery. What is going on? I am starting to get upset. What am I doing wrong? Plus, I still can't tell when I am full. Please, I need advice. Did anyone have this problem?

Thank you everyone for the advice. I feel a little better. The doctor never mentioned anything about this, plus I read over and over about how much these people have lost and it just gets me depressed because I am hardly eating and starving to death with no weight loss. Thank you again for the advice. I think I will go have another bowl of ice cream...LOL Just kidding.

Lisa, I know how you feel. I was banded on the 6th and am very sore over my port area. It hurts to bend down and pick something up. I have found that if I hold my stomach in with my hand when I bend to pick something up, it doesn't hurt as bad. I don't know how people were mowing their lawn and was starting to think I was the only one in this bad of shape. I am so glad that you have given me an idea with the chicken, veggie, and broth in the food prcessor. My doctor didn't give me hardly any instructions on what I can eat. They just told me that I had full liquids for 2 weeks, then 2 weeks of pureed foods and then 2 weeks of soft foods. I had no idea what I could puree but thanks for the info on what you are eating. Thanks and hope your pain goes away soon. -
Just had my heart broken....

I'm so sorry to hear about what you are going through. That is horrible. Honestly, I believe in revenge and I think the best revenge is to sleep with one of his close friends. Trust me, it will make you feel better... Just wait until you get really small and can shove that in his face. What a hateful guy. Oh it makes me mad when I hear of stories like that. It makes me want to go to your State and whoop his ass. Man I hate cheaters. Hang in there girly. We are here for you. -
Congrats Greg!!! Hope the pain meds work for you. All the good meds out there make me dizzy so I was stuck with plain ol Tylenol and that didn't help a bit. As a matter of fact, I'm still in pain right over my port area. Good luck Greg. Hope you lose tons and tons of weight... Keep walking, deep breathing and make sure you drink enough...

I must say, I am very hungry. I was banded on August 6th and am on full liquids for two weeks. I have been blending Soups like chicken noodle and have been eating cream of chicken soups too. I have also been eating creamy yogurt. I am headed to hops and I am going to be very embarassed to ask the waiter if he can blend my Soup up...ha ha ha. It will be worth it in the long run. Good luck everyone on your upcoming surgery. Make sure you have some pain medicine because you WILL need it, well at least I did. Drink lots of Water and do a lot of walking. I have lost 9 lbs since my surgery date and I have not weighed in 4 days. -
Pain management after surgery? What did you have?
ilovecops79 replied to ShelbyD's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You wouldn't believe the pain I had and I am still in pain. I was very sick/dizzy after the surgery. I have never had any kind of surgery before so it was horrible. Everything hurt. The only thing that hurts now is where the band is. I called the dr. and they said it was normal. I'm glad none of you had a hard time like I did. -
Please tell me this will stop soon.

HELP!!! Im not losing...
ilovecops79 replied to Ebeth0013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It also keeps you from getting pregnant. My surgeon told me that this surgery could get rid of the PCOS that I have. I have my periods every 20 days and are very, very heavy. A lot of overweight women have it. -
Please tell me this will stop soon.

I have a couple of questions. I had my band put in on August 6th and am on full liquids at the moment. They told me I could have creamy soups, I know this is going to be a stupid question to most of you but can I put chili in a blender and have that? Also, how do you know when you are full after eating. I don't feel full until I am almost sick from eating too much. How much is enough during the full liquid diet? Plus, I noticed that everyone had a problem with dirrehea and I haven't had a poop since before my surgery. I have taken milk of magnesia and it hasn't helped. Any advice would really be appreciated Thanks
