Hello Im back just wanted to say ho
-
I do find it very intersting on the number of persons who have the band and then it appears they complain, "did I do the right thing" well heavens to gertrude:rolleyes: give me a break. Why? would anyone put themselves through all of the stuff and I mean stuff and not work to make it happen:faint: . Well tummy, it's me and you bub- I will work not to put anything into you that I know should not go- and YOU need to work on the things that do come your way to make them pass quietly:notagree . I am very glad that I have the web site to read about the other ups and downs and hear the many issues. One of the things I would like to do tummy, is one day eat something that makes us both feel good.

Hey mission control: here it is five months after surgery on planet banded. All is going well and I now am a changed astronut. I have lost five pant sizes and three shirt sizes. I have had to visit the local clothing store but this is a new experience for me, I have always shopped with omar the tent maker and they dont have TENT makers on this planet. Thank God for that. Now I have tokens left to outfit the spacecraft properly and not just with hughe tents to cover the old frame. Now I look like a sleek mean fighting machine and can take on anything that comes my way. I am so grateful that I have other astronuts.........on the same planet because it would be horrible if I were trying to do this alone. It must be done with others and follow the experience of those that have gone before me. The secreat is to follow and then become a leader once the goals have been reached . I will be starting a new meeting here on lap band planet for others to meet and greet at, we will be exchanging uniforms and food supplement ideas. anyone wishing to attend the meeting just needs to let me know if they are in the area or I can give them the info that they need to help them get their ideas set into motion by sending me a message at boiseman2001@yahoo.com . have a grt day:scared: :nervous

Am I crazy?? Already Mourning Food!
shackdog replied to thefunnyfatgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You have a misconception of the band, it is a tool , you are not going to give up food, just eat alot less of it and only the right foods. Read and learn more it will work for you. I was banded four months ago and am down 86lbs currently. -

Well tummy, sorry that I have not reported in for some time, I have been on a walk about on this mission you have sent me on. My new call sign was 3x now I have to report after the considerable walk about I am now offical, new call sign is 2x. I reported to mission control doctors as instructed on date 08102006.00 and I have his final report in, he said that I am now offical on the lunar scale at minus a total of 86lbs. I had to have a shot of oxygen when he said this as I was not aware that this atmosphere on this planet affected lapband agents like this. I will continue on the mission as instructed eating only those items allowed on borad. I have been faithful thus far and have not eaten any of this planets special delights and will continue on course. Until next contact, this is 2x saying I hope that you will see me when we next come into radio contact. soooooooooooooooooooolongggggggggggggggggggg:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :faint:

Welcome to the gone for good club.....

This is a great place to get info, there are a great multitude of Docs who do the surgery. I was self pay(21000.00) Idaho. There are Docs in Mexico who do it for far less but I did not want the risks, and I needed the support here. Contact your local hospitals and they will give you info on who is doing them, then attend one of the seminars and ask lots of questions. I considered doing the gastric but after the seminar I knew the lap band was the one for me. I have lost 86lbs in just shy 4 months. good luck and if you want any more info or I can tell you my ups and downs on the band, you can reach me boiseman2001@yahoo.com

Not doing so well on pre op diet
shackdog replied to Teresa'sTurn's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Boy I know what you mean, when I was on the pre-op I wanted to killllllllllll everyone with what they thought was good advice. Lets face it food is food is food, and we believe that we not only need it but we WANT it. But I realized that I got this way BIG due to the fact that my will power was not there. I fought the good fignt and stayed with the plan and now not four months later I am DOWN 86lbs, four pant sizes and three shirt sizes. The battle is worth it no matter who you kill to get there............. Good luck and keep us posted.d -
Yep just a pinch, I have a vangaurd as well. Been banded four months, first fill was at 2months 1.5 cc. Second fill was month later 1cc. Nothing sense then. Am doing great following the plan using the tool and loosing the weight.

Yes you should do 24hr before you start the food again, let the swelling be gone
-
dont know what your doc has told you, mine said that there is swelling for about a total of six weeks wether we want to realize this or not, I was on straight liquids for three weeks after surgery, then three weeks of musshy and then solids as tolerated. This really helped me and now I am down a total of 86lbs and on my way to my target. You need to heal completly before you move on to RICE and those types of foods. Let it heal and it will happen.

New from Olive Branch, Ms
shackdog replied to juliapekas's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hello Jewel, this is shackdog in Idaho. I think your plan of attack is on course, I to was a self pay. when I started just shy 4months ago I was at an all time high for me. 411 bmi of 52. Well here it is not quite 4 months later and I have lost a total of 86lbs and my BMI is 42. Down three shirt sizes and 4 pants sizes. The best advise I can give you I have found is to follow the docs instructions to a tee. This forum is a great tool but like all tools it is just as good as you use it. I have found that there are many persons with great intentions and ADVICE but use the tool wisely. I also joined a support group here local and have not missed one meeting from the beginning of my journey. If I can ever be of assistance you can reach me email boiseman2001@yahoo.com . Good luck and welcome to the gone for good club.......... -
