And then people wonder why they dont loose weight, sad story sorry it ruined your night but then you allowed it to ruin your game plan with the ban. Ban is life long effort, not just eat what you want and then loose it a day or two later. This is just my idea not picking on you but put yourself on a pedestal and be an example for others with the same issues. let them see your success and encourage them to do the same.

Stuck at -65lbs - scale won't budge!
shackdog replied to Connorsmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have discovered long ago, anything in life worth having is not free, someone has suffered for it. So with that in mind, keep to the plan and do what the Doc told you and it will happen. It's like in the old kung fu movies, Master says" grasshopper see the vision live the vision and learn from the vision". Good luck -
Hello from Idaho///// Welcome to the world of banded. I was banded on April 17,06 and have lost 80lbs thus far. My goal is 100 by xmas. The tip I have for you is work the plan given to you by your Doc, dont work anyone elses plan. You will get lots of info from this forum, some good some grt and some that are not so good. Read them and let those of us that have gone befor you be the test subjects. Listen to the pitfalls and steer clear, I have found that by do my exercise daily and eating correctly daily, and lots and lots and lots and lots of water...........................It is working. Keep up the work and if you ever need an encourageing word U can find me at boiseman2001@yahoo.com snd me a note once in a while to show the progress.

My insurance would not cover either, I did many hours of research on both of the procedures and after many hours of thought and prayer, I choose to have the band, I am now three months out and have lost 80lbs, this is not the norm, I have been following the doctors instructions to a tee and lots of exercise. My doc said that if I loose 1-3lbs a week that this would be ideal. This is now what I am doing, about three pounds a week. Its takes drive and I think the biggest is DESIRE. I have been very big all my life and now IIIIIIIIIIIII choose to now live the other side of the moon, and that is enjoying life as a smaller person. Good luck in your Quest and stay in touch with us, you can find me at boiseman2001@yahoo.com.

do what you have to do
-
get all the test done and all the other hurdles cleared and then when its time all that is left is the band
-
you can do it, just think what lies ahead? I was banded on April 17.06 and have lost 78lbs thus far. I have been on this side of the coin for to long and I want to live on the other side, the fun side the adventure side. I did the preop diet the post op diet and liquid diet for a total of six weeks, yes I to wanted to kill anything that walked crawled or flew, but by working the tool that I was given I am still among us. Follow thoses who have gone before you, just remember what works for one does not work for all. On these forums you will learn a lot of info...........take it read it and follow your doctors orders to the letter, there are those who have not lost much because they sabatoge themselves still to this day.

Listen to NJChick, I to aggree that I think you are swollen and this is causing most of your problems, Talk to the Doc and share your concerns with to much fill. I was banded the same day you and have only had one fill so far of 1cc. I am currently down 76lbs, I see the Doc today and I will ask him about your situation.

Denied <BMI 40 - has anyone gained weight for approval??
shackdog replied to RLittman's topic in Insurance & Financing
This is weird that a person would want to gain weight to have surgery, Life change is just what it says, Life change. Go see a Doctor who knows what they are doing, work the plan that they give you, join support groups and things like weight watchers or another group, but to gain weight so you can have the band is NUTS.................................. Also for people to say things to help you cheat the system, I would be very careful listiening to any of their ideas, where is the INTEGRITY people. Sounds to me there is NONE. -
yep I can post
-
yep , I to have the issue, but its a grt issue to have seeing that I have to force myself to eatt
-
I told everyone and anyone that would listen, this school of thought is different from many people, the only one that really matters is your main support person, YOU..................................after I told everyone I have more support than you can imagine, its grt
-
Yep I accept the challenge, The last time I remember the city of twotoville was at birth............but I am close so very close and I am now looking at condos.

Hello newbie, I was banded 90 days ago, and yes if you dont have the right mind set and work the plan given to you by your Doc, it propably will all be for not. The band is a tool just like any other tool, but the great thing to remember is that you are the operator, YOU make the tool work for you, if you keep this in mind YOU will be a success. This website is grt and at times not so grt, the thing to know is that read alot use alot of the result getters, but remember a number of bandsters on these sites are still not working their plans thus they are not getting the results that they had hoped for. Good luck and keep us posted.

Yep I aggree, go see your Doc and get blood work done, I just had mine done because I have a lot of the same issues, in my case they said blood work is grt all systems are a go, so now they are trying to ck other options. But I am now more relaxed knowing inside all is ok, will keep working on the outside.
