I have no preop diet. Surgery is on October 17th. Fly to Turkey on the 16th- Do all testing. No food 24 hours before and was told to avoid fatty foods and carbonated drinks for the week before. Feels a bit odd but my liver tests came back working above average so I suppose that may be it?

I joined a support group and was warned not to stock up on protein shakes before surgery as your tastes change for a few months after. People often stock up on what they like and then hate it once the surgery has been done. I was able to order a bunch of sample packets which i plan to try when i get home, then i can order what I like at that time. (im in Europe where the ready made shakes are not as plentiful or varied so making my own will be my go to.) So far Celebrate vitamins and Bariatric fusion have been good. Bariatric fusion will even send you a free sample kit of their multivitamins both chew and chewable tablet as well as calcium chews!

We have an absolutely amazing Roman Pizzeria in our city and I will absolutely be enjoying it before hand along with my last "all you can eat" sushi dinner with friends. I know both are sometimes not well tolerated for quite a long time after. I also have a girls night planned where we do the six course tasting menu with wine pairing at a local restaurant. All the podcasts ive listened to about the process before and after, mention they either wished they had or were happy they did it.

I'm scheduled for October 17th! Grandmedical hospital in Manisa, Turkey. I'm super excited and trying to be kind to myself before the big change. I've been dieting or tracking for the last 15 years straight. I'm allowing myself to be free for the time being and enjoying the things I wont be able to enjoy in the same capacity after surgery. I was never big on fast food, but we do eat out. I'm just doing a food parade as I say now and making sure I enjoy quality foods.

I'm not in the UK, but the Netherlands. I will be having my surgery in Turkey on October 17th. I actually booked it at the Grand medical hospital because of the great reviews so many people from the UK had left.
