I am happy where I am now as I aproach my baniversary. I am in overland. and hopefully within the next six months, I will be at goal. The slow losing has been frustrating, but my doctor said it would be a slow process, which in the end is better.

What fills you up for breakfast?
MeltingChocolat replied to Long2BFree's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I like to have a hot drink before I have breakfast. I have Hot water with Lemon and Honey. -
I am a slow loser too. My surgery date was May 20. At my highest I weighted 257. Date of surgery, 245, and now 222. Total 35 I TRY not to be concerned: I hope that being a slow loser may save money on plastic surgery. Maybe most of my skin will adjust to loosing slower. --at least that is what I tell myself. I loose in spurts. I will stay at the same weight or fluctuate 2 or 3 pound. Then I wake up one morning and I have lost 5. My mother is the same way on Weight Watchers. We lose about every 3 to 4 weeks Nevertheless, I feel better. Moreover, some weight is better than none. This last fill made me really tight. Don’t eat much now.

My feet are not shrinking!
MeltingChocolat replied to jeremiahsmommy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My weight and shoe size change with each child I had. I had some really cute and pricey shoes I purchase before husband and kids that are in the basement because I cant get into them anymore. I had a shoe funeral 2 years ago. I tried on each one hoping for them to fit so that I could justify keeping them in the closet. I hadto bare over 50 pair. I am one of those girls that thinks if you have on a great pair of shoes, you really dont need anything else on. I would love to be able to reincarnate them. -
banded 5/20/08 need help
MeltingChocolat replied to sunniechavez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too was banded this day. The last time I say my surgeon, he asked me about my hunger and while I had good restriction, he gave me a small fill to help with the hunger. It has worked. -
Will I fail at this too?
MeltingChocolat replied to wvgal33's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do not be discouraged. I do not know if this will help but… I stop saying next Monday and I try to start fresh the next meal. That way you are not but a meal away from being health. Forgive yourself and start being health the next time you take a bit. Same with your exercise10 minute, that is ok. -
3 Months Out: Struggling
MeltingChocolat replied to babedawl274's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine done a month before you and have had a few fill and only lost 22 lbs. I constantly remind myself that this is not a quick fix. One thing that helped me because I was at 18 lbs loss for 3 weeks was going back to the basics. I read all of my pre-op diet materials and kind of started over. I have had a hard time exercising, but I reminded myself that I not doing this to be skinny, but to be health and exercising is part of being health. I found two walking buddies. I thought there is if I am accountable to someone else, it may be motivating. Cause if I could count on myself, I would not be here. Therefore, since I went back to the basics, and began exercising, just last week, I have lost 3 lbs. Hope this helps Do not give up ... Never give up. You can do it. -
Post op question
MeltingChocolat replied to angiegood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the gas pain to, but it did take several months before it went away, and it sometimes returns for a few days after a fil. -
Hello ALL, I am from Kansas and was banded May 20th and I have had 3 fills since. I have lost 18 lbs. I am still excited about this experience, but not doing well with exercising. I have a husband, 3 kids, a full time job and working on my masters. I don’t want to loose weight to fast, for I am going for the slow and stead approach, but was disappointed when did not loose any weight in between my last fill. While I am glad that i did not gain, it was slightly frustrating. My goal for next week is to try and at least get some type of exercise activity in. Wish me luck. PS – I was able to get a weight track, but do not know how to get it to post on the site. Can anyone help with that by providing instructions? --Thanks Chat with you soon Take care, ME
