Hey guys! Sorry for being MIA! Between work school & life it’s been busy. I wanted to share my update with you guys I’m currently down 103.4 pounds! I’m very happy I feel good energy is crazy . I can power walk the prison without being winded/sluggish. One of my big victories was trying on some old shoes my feet really shrunk! Lol my only worry now is I have a strong beef brewing with the wind ! I feel like if I keep losing I’ll be gone with the wind! lol

Lost about revision
Sensaintionaly replied to RachelShepherd's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
No one will advocate for you like you is my favorite quote ! Continue to step on toes legs and arms for your health. There’s a reason why there’s revisions. If you don't like the answers your receiving keep looking! I was told a revision wasn’t needed back in 2018 , to just go back to the liver shrinking diet. I have pcos & hypothyroidism. I met a Dr that recommended duodenal switch . Aug 22, 2022 I had my revision. So far I’m very happy with my decision to keep searching for a surgeon that would understand my health needs. Best of luck to you! -
Give it time … your fear is validated but what you’re going through is very common. I’m also experiencing a stall plus my period skipped town a week after my surgery lol not complaining. You will thrive I know it! The hard part is over.

Graduated to soft foods today it feels nice, but I noticed I feel full quickly, but honestly no complaints here. So what’s funny to me & my father whenever it’s “time to eat” or “I should be eating” I start to obsess about what food sounds tasty or reminisce about yummy food I had in the past. I literally google random recipes just to look at the pictures lol . Once I eat though the desire to dwell on past deliciousness is over it’s so odd to me!

Thank you for this comment I have one incision that has been a complete pain I’m 7 days post op but I’m guessing it’s normal -
I loveeeeeee their milk so I ordered the protein drinks like 4 cases strawberry vanilla & chocolate . I had the duodenal switch, so I can start those drinks 1 week after postop, looking forward to it!

lol what a catch 22! Ummmmm I’d say I’m excited about surgery I’m a revision so there’s a bit of been there done that . I just want to fast forward to when I’m recovering at home. I felt overwhelmed with how much new information is out/products since I had my first surgery in 2010 . I’m naturally a worry wart so I’m going through the motions of overly researching duodenal switch . I know it’s best for me due to my metabolism disorders. I read somewhere you could lose a pound a day ! Like that’s crazy to me lol ! (Also I’m making you my accountability partner lol there will be meltdowns FYI !)

Oh ok just was curious. Also I plan on ordering my vitamins today trying to find my best option but I’m leaning towards the barimelts, because the idea of 8 pills is too much lol ! How are you feeling about your surgery? I have so many emotions going on .
-
Hey Kara which vitamins are you purchasing? Due to getting the DS I’ll have to take 4 pills in the am and 4 at pm the brand is barilife . Also another question what made you pick the sleeve as your revision choice?

Hi there 6 weeks actually starting next week! It’s very hard following my pre-op diet while at work and stressing about possible exposure to COVID-19. I really don’t want to take any chances of having my surgery postponed. I feel like if I get stir crazy I’ll go back to work. I hope your recovery goes well and you’re able to function at work easily. I work at a prison so there’s a lot of walking unsure if I should rush back? Which surgery are you having? I’m a revision sleeve to DS due to hypothyroidism & pcos.
