  1. My surgery date was 4/15. I also stalled for nearly a month after 3 months post op. I've talked to a few people with revisions and they say they will lose good for weeks or months then hit a stall. Then lose for a while again and then hit a stall. Increasing water, changing calories up or down, can help. I started taking MCT oil and I noticed the scale moving faster. Best of luck.

    Questions to Ask Before Surgery?

Ask how your bowel movements change after surgery. They do alot. Ask when you can workout again. How long bruises should last. What size bruise is too big and when to fall a doctor. Ask what you need to do to keep from losing your hair. Ask about a abdominal band for recovery. They help alot!! Finally ask where you should go if there's an emergency post surgery. Back to them or local ER.1
  3. Sugar free Popsicles were my go to. Also.gwr some Chicken/ Beef Broth. Once you can do full liquids Oikos Triple Zero Yogurt tastes amazing and is 15g of protein. Best of luck!

    Get ready to blossom

The big initial weight loss is fluid weight. You won't see it that much in photos. I also use the baritastic app and records measurements. I noticed inches going down much more then I seen it in any photos. Watch the inches, you will be pleasantly surprised.
  5. Ya know I knew I was big, but didn't realize I was THAT big. I've lost half of my weight to lose to get to goal (315 HW 236CW 165GW) and finally I see the difference. Suddenly I'm more confident wearing clothes that I wouldn't have worn before. I dont fear clothes showing my belly or butt when I move. Its an amazing NSV. I don't feel all that smaller but I guess 79 lbs is a big chunk off of me. Only 71 more to go!

3 months post VSG and NOTHING

In order to burn fat consistently you will need to induce Ketosis. Reduce carbs, avoid breads, sugars, and starches. Increase protein!! Try adding in MCT oil to your daily plan. Helps your body burn fat faster. I get 80 to 100 grams of protein daily. I've lost 5lbs this week alone. It isn't easy, but so worth it!!!

  9. So I'm 4 months post op. I'm down 52lbs since surgery, 79lbs since the start of my journey. I never use to like laying on the floor. You all know the feeling. Back hurts, legs need elevated, ribs and stomach hurts if you lay on your stomach. Now I love to just lay on the cool floor near an air vent and play with my son. I can lay on my back or stomach. Anyone else notice how much more comfortable you are in positions you never were before?? Sent from my SM-G973U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Men are so frustrating!!!!

Agreed. My hubby now is my biggest cheerleader. He makes the money and helps occasionally with house chores if I'm getting behind and ask him. We rarely have a real argument and we always make up by bedtime. He has helped me be successful. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using BariatricPal mobile app

Will I ever enjoy eggs again?

If I go extremely slow, I mean a bite every few minutes I can get down 1 egg. I've had Bypass. I know many people with just the sleeve and they were fine, but I wanted some other Bypass peeps to share their egg stories. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. You may have developed an intolerance to something. Gas and cramping means your body is having digestive issues with a certain good. Try cutting dairy for a week, if it improves there ya go, if not try sugar substitutes for the next week. I became lactose intolerant after surgery. Left side pain

Strong pain should have let up by now. Most people only have strong pain till week 3 or 4. I would definitely go to the ER and have a CT scan. Sent from my SM-G973U1 using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. I'm had bypass April 15th and eggs use to be my favorite go to protein. I've tried eggs over the stove using different healthy butter alternatives, trying scrambled, fried, and boiled. Everytime I'm in the bathroom within minutes. Frozen Atkins egg meals are a lil easier but barely. I still get nauseated but I don't puke them up like fresh eggs. Anyone else have this issue?
