  1. I put on some clothes yesterday and looked in the mirror and I had an hour glass type figure. It was nice and I don't remember the last time I had an hour glass figure.
  2. I'm pretty sure they make exotic soap out of the fat and sell it to anyone that call wls the"easy way out".

How often do you guys weigh yourselves?

Weighing with some clothes on so the doctors office isn't so different makes sense. Maybe when I start to slow down I'll do that.

    Under Boob rash

There a mommy makeover in my far off future. Once I get to my ideal weight and stay there at least 6 months.

    New to group,sleeve 8/16

My endocrinologist was FUMING when I told her about it. She's the one that referred me to the new Cardiologist. Now with the weight loss a lot of my problems are disappearing but the old guy didn't have to be a terd about it.

I had a Cardiologist that was a naturally skinny man and everything I complained about was met with "lose weight". The final straw is when he told me I should just stop eating for a few days. I have a much better Cardiologist now that actually talks about my symptoms and test results.

How often do you guys weigh yourselves?

Every morning, in my panties, after I pee, before I shower. I know it's not recommended but I like the loss and when I go up, I review what I had the day before. My app plays different music for going up and going down. Going down over a pound is a bunch of trumpets. Pretty incentive worthy! Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Simple DUMPING question

I've thrown up 2x since surgery and it was overeating or eating too fast not dumping. The first time I ate my scrambled egg to fast I had to make a mad dash to the toilet and yarfed up some egg and almost immediately felt better. The 2nd time I was at dinner with family I hadn't seen in years and I only had water. I was only about 6 weeks out from surgery. I was so busy enjoying myself that I drank water without checking myself and I thought I was going to be sick in the resteraunt but ended up being sick when I got back to the hotel. It's never a lot but once I do it I go from feeling miserable to feeling so much better. You definitely learn your limits fast. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    3 days Post Surgery

My stomach made all sorts of weird grumbly noises after surgery. It wasn't hunger. It was just my stomach making noises. It was noisier than it ever had been. It was a noisy beast though! I've been on Omeprazole since before my surgery. I had GERD preopp and my doctor wanted me on it post opp because he said it helps with the healing, maybe by reducing the acid? A PPI might help you. Liquid Diet

I survived off protein Shakes 2-3 a day in liquid phase, filled with crystal lite generic flavored water and jello for something kinda solid to keep the crazy away. I have to admit when I was allowed to eat my first scrambled egg it was a game changer. I'm a creature of habit though and I'm fine with eating the same thing over and over and over. I think that has helped me the most through this process-I don't need variety. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Under Boob rash

I have big boobs and live in Florida so I feel your pain. I've found gold bond medicated to be a savior and I tuck washcloths into the bottom of my bra to absorb any moisture when they're really bad. I also keep them extra clean when there's a rash. It can definitely be miserable! I hope they heal up fast! Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm sorry that happened but at least it happened before you had the surgery. It's probably better with how big it was to do it in steps but I know it sucks! I'm sorry [emoji20]!!! Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app
  13. I have noticed more loose hair in the past couple weeks but nothing terrifying. If this is the worst it gets then I'm ok even if it got worse I'd be ok. The benefits of the surgery far outweigh any temporary hair loss. Not just the scale either, I'm moving better, I got strep and I didn't get a sick as I would've 75 pounds ago, I have SO much more energy, I care more about how I look and take better care of myself, I'm more active, I'm off so many meds, the list just goes on. So hair loss, possibly... but if you follow your plan you'll have so many other victories. You'll see some hair loss is a small thing and doesn't last. Your body will balance out and you'll regrow what you lost. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    New ans starting process

My hydration is made possible by great value fruit punch drink enhancer (generic crystal lite). I don't know what I'd do without it. It's never seemed acidic to me. Maybe different flavors will effect you differently? Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

Absolutely! They check everything. It's reassuring how thorough they are.

    Smoking cigarettes and surgery

My surgeon flat out won't do surgery if your not 3 months without smoking and I don't know how long you have to commit to quitting. I quit 16 years ago with my daughter because I was making her sick. They test and I know people who's Surgeries were canceled. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

How was the 2 week liquid diet

I was on liquids a kind of long time from May 27th until 2 weeks after my June 7th surgery date. I never suffered or was outrageously hungry. I lived off crystal lite water, jello and protein Shakes. My surgeon had a very strict plan compared to some I've heard but I think it was good for me. I've learned I don't NEED food like I did pre-opp. I eat food too function. If I like it a lot that's a plus. I don't eat for entertainment anymore or reward or to fix emotional boo boo's, I eat too feed my body to function. Don't get me wrong when I had my first bite of scrambled egg with Salt my eyes rolled back in my head! It was the best thing I ever tasted but the time on liquids was easy for me. Just acknowledge it as a time that has to be. That helps. It's your first line in the sand for the new way your going to be eating for the rest of your life. Gastric bypass stall in weight loss

I hit my first stall at 6 weeks and my surgeons team had not said anything about them. That's when I discovered this board and I was saved! I didn't lose or gain for 2 weeks. It was frustrating but when I started losing again it was with a vengeance. Like the others have said stay on the plan, keep eating like you should and once your body works things out, you'll be back to losing weight. Deeeeep breaths this is all a part of the process. You are NOT messing up. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

I was approved for surgery, much sooner than expected

I had my first appointment with my surgeon on 4/28 and my surgery was 6/7. I'm was already determined to have the RNY and my surgeon agreeing with me helped. My insurance didn't cover it and that also expedited the process as there were less hoops to jump through. My surgeon knowing we were cash pay used tests I had already had run in the past 6 months/ year. Everything went very quickly. I knew I wanted though, I had read up on it, I knew the risks, I was ready for a life change. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    withdrawls

I have craved very specific things. Pizza Huts Pan Meatlovers Pizza(life long favorite) , Macaroni with Cheese and hot dogs. BBQ wings (was able to make that healthy and 12 were worth a few meals),etc., things like that. Of course I told myself no and probably always will because it's likely I'd make myself sick if I did get ahold of them. I don't know that I would have the willpower to only have 1 slice of pizza or 1 donut from Krispey Kreme even knowing i have a much smaller stomach now so I won't allow myself any not to mention the risk of dumping! Jack link's meat sticks

I have beef jerky packs in my desk at work for the days I'm not up to pack a lunch or running after work. You will need to be on solid food and like the others said watch the sodium. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Need more protein!! Please help

Early on I was constantly sipping on a protein shake. My doctor was more strict about eating though at 2 weeks I was just getting on pureed. Scrambled eggs were a God send! The flavor that I had been sadly missing and to actually be able to chew! Also if your tolerating Tuna, try Tuna salad, the eggs mayo and Tuna is a lot of protein but it might be too heavy on your stomach this early. Maybe try it? Dunno... it was another God send. Sugar intake question

I'm only 3 months out but I'm very way of calories, carbs, and sugar. Like you said I want this life change to be successful. I'm 75 pounds down with 83 pounds to go. I want to be able to be an active part in the rest of my life. If you can shake the sugary drink I don't know that I would introduce it back in. One of the reasons I'm not letting artificially sweetened tea back in my life. I don't NEED the caffeine anymore- I'm good with Crystal Lite water going to stick with that. It's one less thing to be addicted to. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app

Will I ever be hungry again???

I am 3 months out (time does fly) and I still don't have the hunger I remember pre-surgery. If I go too long between meals I'll start to feel weak and "off" and count the hours since last I ate and usually is over 6 but never hungry. I have snacks in my mini fridge at work to fill in if I start feeling iffy before a meal is due but I have never needed them. I always carry beef jerky with me just in case. I am usually good with 3 small meals a day. I seldom hit 800 calories and I seldom feel rundown or weak. My body is operating in a way I never knew it could. I would definitely talk to your doctor about antinausea meds. It's not unreasonable to think you would still need them so early on. That should help you get some fluids and food down to start helping you feel better. Sent from my SM-F926U using BariatricPal mobile app
