Congratulations! You look fabulous. I too seem to be falling into my old habits. Snacking snacking snacking. I am trying to snack on healthier foods, but I don't want to get back into the habit of always eating all the time. I've noticed I'm able to eat more food at a time, but I usually can stop at a reasonable amount during meals. My issue is between meals. I want to just pop things in my mouth every chance I get. I'm down 65 lbs and I'm so happy, but I am afraid I'll be back to my old weight in no time if I don't quit this snacking!

My stalls have been weird. Like I lose 2 lbs one week, then nothing the next. then 1 lb one week then nothing, then 2 lbs then nothing. So, they are like mini-stalls or something. And every week I don't lose I get sad and then I remember that I did lose 55 lbs so I can't be totally disappointed.

I am open to joining an accountability group. It's cold and I don't even want to go for walks. I think it would be helpful to motivate each other. I would like to start some weight training because I've heard it can help some with loose skin. My batwings are getting really bad and now other parts are getting super jiggly. At least when I was heavier the jiggle was firmer. Now it is just all loose like jello that hasn't set properly. Don't even get my started on my boobs...

55 lbs is fabulous! Congratulations! So far I've lost 47 at my 3 month mark. My weight loss has slowed down and I panic sometimes thinking I'm eating too much but it's coming along. Exercise is hard for me too. It's cold outside and I don't want to take walks 😩. I'm so happy for all of us! The first couple of weeks after surgery were hard but worth it.

It does feel good. My hope is that everyone can feel the same way I do. I hope no matter how much weight we lose or don't lose I hope we all can appreciate all the positives and can recognize that even if we don't ever achieve our ideal body size or weight we have still accomplished so much! We should not look in the mirror and see the weight we have to lose. We should try to see the improvement in our lives and health no matter what. It helps for me to remind myself that even people who have been thin their whole lives hate their bodies. Sorry for the rant, but I just want us all to be happy and love ourselves no matter what.

Congratulations! It makes me feel so happy when I read how well everyone is doing.

I had my surgery 8/19 and I've lost 26 pounds so far. 41 total from when I started this journey. I still have weight to lose, but what is weird to me is that I feel the opposite. I feel so thin. I know I'm still overweight and need to lose more but feel like a normal person now. I look in the mirror and I can see I'm still fat, but I guess because I know how big I was I feel like I'm much thinner now. I've been losing slowly and I get frustrated, but when I put on my clothes I feel happy. It's almost like I feel thinner than I am. I guess that is a good thing because it has boosted my self esteem. So I guess what I'm saying is I must have reverse body dysmorphia because I'm still a fat girl who feels like she is a thin girl. I'll take it. I'm so much happier than I was 40 lbs ago.

I'm doing okay. Still having a hard time keeping food in and stomach is upset a lot. Started losing weight again after a stall, but very slowly. I have to keep reminding myself it's only been 2 months. So take it slow and be patient. How are things for you?
-
I know what you mean. My weight loss has been very slow and I've stalled for 2 weeks. I'm finally losing again, but at a rate of about 1 to 2 lbs a week. I've only lost a total of 15 lbs since my surgery almost 6 weeks ago and 8 of it was in the first week after surgery when I could barely get liquids in. I guess 1 to 2 lbs a week is normal, but I had hoped for the rapid weight loss that I kept seeing during my Google searches for the surgery.

Yes to this! I lost every day the first week and now I am just about a month out and have only lost 1 more pound. I see my doctor at the end of the month and I'm afraid they are going to think I'm not following the diet. I am. I have a protein shake for breakfast, yogurt for lunch and an egg for dinner. I was told not to add any more protein shakes because those count as meals and I'll have too many meals if I do that. I am honestly sort of regretting the surgery a bit since I'm barely eating but not losing any weight. I could have just had the hiatal hernia surgery if I wasn't going to lose weight. I feel like I've permanently altered my insides for nothing. It has been very frustrating for me. A friend of mine had surgery and has lost over 100 lbs in 5 months and she has even told me that sometimes she cheats. I am happy for her, but frustrated at my lack of losing.

Congrats on bypass! I had mine on the 19th. First week was not feeling so hot, but now I'm pretty good. The only issue is that at first I wasn't hungry at all and had to force myself to drink and now I'm starving every day. Like literally feeling so hungry and tired like I could pass out if I don't eat. I'm not sure of that is normal or not.

I feel you. I had my surgery on the 19th and was steadily losing every day and now for 2 days nothing. I am also afraid I'm never going to lose this weight. I started pureed foods yesterday and now I'm afraid I'm going to gain. I don't want to see my Dr in 4 weeks and have to feel like a failure.
