  1. I received the lapband surgery on March 16, 2006. I immediately lost 40 pounds then one day I woke up and was hungry and could eat everything in sight. I have a 4 cc band and it is filled to capacity. I have gained back 16 pounds and am struggling to get back on board. It is so funny sometimes I take one bite and can tell I need to stop because it is stuck, but most of the time I can eat anything. It is so random and my friends are worried because they notice when I take one bite and it's going to come up. That worries them, what worries me is the rest of the time when everything is going down and I'm hungry all the time. No one seems to understand.
  2. I was banded 2 years ago and somehow fell off the wagon. I believe that I may have worked around my band and need to get very strict about no drinking around the time I eat.

  3. I had the lapband surgery March, 2006 and have not had proper restriction. I have a 4cc band and it is filled completely. Most times I can eat anything; however, at times one bite will make me sick. My friends want me to have it looked at because they are worried about me. I just wonder how normal this is and if maybe I should go back on liquids to jump start weight loss. I initially lost 30 pounds but have gained 16 back in the past year.

  5. Melissa,

I am in Richmond, KY and feel your pain. I too am restarting my journey. Maybe we can keep each other motivated.

    Lap Band Concern (Help)

I have not had an upper GI. The doctor wanted to schedule and endoscopy a while back but I chickened out. They were amazed that I could chug water even after having a complete fill. They mentioned that some people have had their stomach grow around the band. What would be the symptoms of that?
