Can anyone help me with this?
Mimilou2004 replied to jazie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with Dawn, it certainly could be your gallbladder. Maybe google gall bladder while you are waiting to call your doctor first thing Monday morning. Good luck, Mimi -
Went in to see my Doc today..Great News!!!
Mimilou2004 replied to CaliGirl626's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Congratulations, Sooner, on your improved health. Your weight loss is good, too. I was also banded on 10/7/08 and have lost 28 pounds. I wish it had been more but I actually gained 11 pounds before my first fill in November. Mimi -
I have realized I will need a TT & I am upset w/ myself.
Mimilou2004 replied to heidib's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Back on another thread someone suggested google-ing "Average cost of Plastic Surgery". That kept me entertained/dreaming for hours. TT's are not cheap when all is said and done. Best of Luck. Mimi -
I hate it when people post just to post.....

Kareyquilts: Arms, Butt & Thighs, Oh My!
Mimilou2004 replied to kareyquilts's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Karey, I am sad for you, your news was not good. I will think positive thoughts that releasing the fill and waiting will allow everything to settle down so you can try again. Best wishes, Mimi -
Hey, Mac, I thought I was the only one who noticed that!!!! PPL keep telling me to shop there and I keep saying I can't as I am only 5'!!! Mimi

Thanks for the link, Jane. It was inspirational!! Mimi -
I felt depressed and hopeless with losing weight until I bought a new digital scale last week. Now the scales are moving in 1/10th of a pound increments I feel better and am sticking to eating less since I can see improvement. I only weigh first thing in the morning, though I think about doing it several times a day!!

Congratulations, you are doing extremely well!!! Mimi

Thanks for the update, Britt. Tough decision to have to make. Good luck and keep posting. Mimi

They have mortar and pestles in the variety stores useful to grind herbs and spices, but also good for pulverizing pills. They work really well. Mimi

Why did I do all of this??
Mimilou2004 replied to travelinsnorkel's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
TS, I am so sorry for all you are going through. I have been following your journey because we banded a week apart. I, too, have a huge ball of scar tissue and worry at every fill that they won't be able to access my port. I hope you can hang in there and not gain. Keep posting and best wishes. Mimi -
I've been feeling so alone.
Mimilou2004 replied to Susister's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome Susister. You are not alone. My docs are VERY conservative with adjustments, too, and I only just got a little restriction. I have not lost down to my presurgery weight yet and understand your frustration. Keep reading and posting and hopefully we will get thru the hardtimes together and come out on the losing (winning) side!! Mimi -
I like this thread because I had the same weigh in questions. Does anybody have a scale they like that measures in 1/4 pound increments? Mimi

We Need to Get Ourselves in Check...Me Included!
Mimilou2004 replied to crystal525's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Crystal, I too enjoyed your post. I was thinking hard on everything you wrote and realized I have had unrealistic expectations of myself and the band. I feel so much more in touch with the band's reality since reading your post. Mimi -
Need a better deoderant now...
Mimilou2004 replied to als74's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same problem so I carry my deoderant and washcloth with me. I blame it on the increased protein intake. I started with Secret, tried several others to no avail and stuck with Degree. Days I eat more carbs I don't notice the problem as much. I am dreading the coming of summer. Mimi -
Do you still have your Gallbladder? You may be having symptoms of impending problems. Good luck. Mimi

Did anyone NOT wait until they were at goal for TT?
Mimilou2004 replied to SanDiegoPhotog's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Shalee, I have been following your posts like a rock fan, LOL. 25 pounds from goal sounds swell to me. I am proud of you and enjoy your posts. Mimilou -
Your husband is a lucky man to have you for support. Welcome to the board! Mimi

Mimilou2004 replied to SanDiegoPhotog's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
SDP, why don't you start checking out PS now and getting their opinions and $$ estimates. I have found that many PS are booking 2 months ahead and your wt loss is great. I haven't lost much yet, but made an appt with a recommended PS just to get his opinion on timing and costs. I, like you, want this belly GONE!!!!! Mimi -
Thank you for the information, it was very enlightening and interesting. Mimi

I, too, can eat unlimited popcorn. I actually wish I couldn't because I love the stuff way too much!!! Mimi

chewable multi vitamin advice
Mimilou2004 replied to Dee66's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just FYI, Centrum Silver chewables have no iron, so women who menstruate need to have their blood checked for anemia periodically. Plain iron supplements are available. Mimi
