  1. I wish you luck.....I had a complete unfill less that 2 weeks ago and have already gained 8 pounds. I am beside myself with sadness and anger at myself. Mimi

    Brand new scale, broken? Gah.

I was going to post when I saw that Greytz said just what I was going to. BB&B is really great about knowing their own stock and replacing stuff for you.

I had a slip last week with a complete unfill and need to adjust my ticker wt as I have gained. Whatever the scales says tomorrow is what I will put on the ticker. The hunger is killing me and boy howdy do I miss my band!!!! Mimi Mimi

    Any October Bandsters!??!?!

Nightstart you are doing and looking fantastic. We share a band date and you are looking MUCH better than I. Keep up the good work. Mimi
  8. Marries, it isn't O's it is Os and means opening (or mouth) for example it is the opening that the band leaves as restriction is gained the os gets smaller. She irritated her stomach opening (Os) and had to get an unfill for it to rest. Some ppl call it a stoma, too. Mimi

    First fill -- all well!

Congratulations on an easy fill. Do you feel any restriction? How much did she put in? Mimi

    Completely Unfilled

Josie, I am so glad you are feeling better!!!! Sometimes doc's pee me off, but I am glad yours finally listened to you. Good luck with the unfill and enjoying your food again!!!! Mimi

    I wanna flat tummy

You are a smart girl to listen to your body and rest when it says rest!!!! 4 weeks is awesome and I know you are enjoying it. I do have a question, how do they relocate your port and pull the midriff skin down w/o moving the port tubing? I am a little concerned. Mimi
  13. Agnes, in all of my reading at LBT I haven't spotted any concensus of first fill amounts. My Doc does 2-3 cc which does not give restriction, and then only fills every 6 weeks at 1 cc. Goes w/o saying I hate my doc, sincerely, for that and other things. Good luck with your fill. I hope you get 5 cc to start. Mimi

    I wanna flat tummy

Laura, I am glad you made it through your first day back OK!!!!! I have a consult appt with a PS but it isn't until Sept 25th!!! Boy, they are booked ahead. I hope that means he is good!!! After I meet him I will decide which PS to go with, ot to use one for my arms and one for my boods and TT. Too many decisions!!! Plus I am starting Fraxel laser resurfacing on my face. Ppl at work keep asking who the new man in my life is. They don't believe I am doing it for ME, LOL!!!! I hope today is good for you. Mimi
  17. I have been barfing my liquids today and have not had a fill recently. I am sure my band is swollen. I just took the liquid ibuprofen (how much was I supposed to take?), how will I know when it works? How long before I try liquids again? What temperature should the liquids be when I try them? Thanks for any help you can give me. Mimi
  18. I think that was very forward thinking of your doctor and I am impressed. It is normal to be nervous but you should do fine. Be sure and post after surgery to let us know about your experience. Best wishes. Mimi

    I wanna flat tummy

Hi, Laura, I too hope your day was great and not too tiring and full of compliments. Skinnyjeans, YOU ARE WORTH IT and so am I. 10 more pounds and I am going to schedule mine!!!! Mimi

WEIRD-Please let me know if this happened to you

My experience has been similar. My doctor couldn't explain it just said that sometimes it takes up to 2 weeks to feel the adjustment. Strange!!! Mimi

    Love affair with food

Amidst all the drama involved with a possible slip and a total unfill, my first thoughts were about what I could now eat that I had been missing. PIZZA danced in my head and visions of sandwiches swirled all around me, LOL. So, yes, I have major food issues, too, and need the band to help me control what is controllable, The head hunger I have to do on my own and with the help of friends and that higher power. Mimi
  22. This next fill should really help, but it would be good to keep track of your exercise and calorie intake. You have been in bandster hell about which I know plenty. I gained 12 pounds during my original hell period 10/08-01/09 and due to a total unfill last Friday am back empty and in Bandster hell all over again. I am so afraid of gaining again I increased my treadmill time and write down everything I put in my mouth to keep the cals below 1200. Best wishes. Mimi

    Slipped Band

Thanks, LuluC. I will keep my fingers crossed for you, too. I am trying to not eat more than a bandster, but it is hard. Let us know how you do. Mimi
  24. It is funny, Georgia Girl. I am a little OCD and when I find something I like I go a bit (hahaha) overboard. I agree with you on the thickness of the shake, now others seem too thin and watery to me. I like knowing I am getting so much nutrition per can. Mimi
