    oh my holy heck

Yippee, congratulations, you have done very well and deserve a lot of praise!!!!! Mimi
  2. I agree with both of the posters, and think you probably need a small unfill but have time to wait as long as you keep liquids down. I waited too long but was barfing every day and the band couldn't rest. I ended up with a complete unfill and back to bandster hell for 8 wks by the time I got my fills back. I still am not back up to good restriction!!! Best wishes, Mimi

    Anyone taking Biotin supplements...

I take Biotin 1000mcg once a day and so far no change in my hair loss. I am starting to get worried but have no bald spots, just general thinning. Mimi

    Tummy tuck 9/9/09!

Mini, your experience sounds wonderful, I am going to check around to see if there is any such program in my area. I guess this means you stopped draining blood? I would think increased urination would mean the massage was VERY effective!!! Keep healing and congrats on your 4 pound loss. Thanks for the detailed information on the Flexsees, I was able to go right to the correct one to look at it on Amazon. Mimi

    Should I be now?

Hold off til you get clearance from your doc before doing ab/core work. Just to make sure your port is firmly attached. Mimi
  6. I was sorry to read about your Mom having a stroke. I hope she mends quickly and can reverse her risk factors. Good for you for losing all that wt and reducing your risk! Mimi

My sons got the flu bad

Call your band doc and ask for a prescription for nausea/vomiting....usually Phenergan. That way you will have it on hand if you come down with the flu. I did this last week and feel so much piece of mind. I am a nurse and have worked with several H1N1 positive kids and know the fear of getting it. Best wishes for your children's speedy recovery and for you to NOT get it, Mimi

    Plateau anyone?

Star, I don't know what to say except hang in there. Most or at least many of us have gone through what you are. 3 months is time enough for your body to get used to what you are doing so changing things a little might work. You need less calories than you did before so you might want to journal your food and start measuring quantities again for a while. Also change your exercise a bit if you have been doing the same things all along. Most of all, try to see all you HAVE accomplished and focus on that. Best wishes, Mimi

    ugh...a crappy fat moment

I am sorry those dudes couldn't keep their comments to themselves. Congratulations on your decision to get banded and hopefully those comments will turn to wolf whistles soon. Best wishes, Mimi
  10. Gosh, Suzanne, that sucks, but if they are careful measuring what they take out they should get it right putting it back. I am still trying to find my sweet spot and am sure the PA missed my port last Thursday because I hve no additional restriction and I felt a burning when she injected. Of course they never believe you and won't give me another adjustment for 6 weeks!!!! Best wishes, Mimi
  11. I love Yorkies, too. My little girl is a Yorkie mix and just as sweet as a full blooded Yorkie. Whenever I see a Yorkie I go into raptures, LOL.

You did good Jenn. Put me down for 145.5. I will try it but am on a plateau so I don't know what I will accomplish. Thanks, Mimi

    Plateau myths?

I haven't had a plateau since I started this Journey last year, but I am on one now with a vengence. I journal my food and and work out 5-6 days a week. I am a bit frustrated. This thread helped me feel better and more optimistic. My PT says she will "ramp up" our work out for me....OMG she will KILL me, LOL!! Mimi

    Biggest Loser Fall 09

I am glad Manatee resurrected this thread, I was wondering why nobody posted the evening of the show or the next morning. Julio gets on my nerves and isn't much of a team player. I was happy that he pulled a big number to make up for week 1. I thought HE should have been the one sent home. I am enjoying the Jillian/Bob teamwork alot. This program is one of the few I actually look forward to and hope it continues to be a 2 hour show. Mimi
  15. You need to see your doctor, but if you are keeping liquids down I don't think it is an emergency. Until you know for sure, it might be a good idea to stick to a full liquid/soft stuff diet so you don't get anything stuck. Good luck and please let us know how you do. Mimi

I was stuck but now I am really concerned

Upperwestside, I am sorry for your swelling and you have gotten lots of great advice. It is amazing that one severe stuck episode can wreak so much havoc, but it happened to me, too. I wish you the best of luck and please keep posting so we know how you are doing. Mimi

Jennifur, I grew up in Schenectady and don't want to go back north in the cold weather!!! I am with tchr, it was almost 90 yesterday and high 80's today. A cold snap is coming, they are promising 79 degrees, LOL!!!! Mimi

    Surgery Postponed.... so sad

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I hope it gets cleared up fast and you get your band soon. Good luck, Mimi
  20. If your doc is closed for the weekend, see them today for a little unfill. You can always get it back when you need it, but 3 days is long enough. Best wishes, Mimi

Thank you Suziecat and CrzyTchr. I am calming down now and can even see a little humor in the situation!!!! Gosh if I could do a 10 pound challenge I would be under goal!!!!! Crzytchr I am so sorry you have the H1N1, I hope you get well VERY soon!!!! Mimi

    just venting

Hang in there, JD, the fact that you are using your self control is awesome. You are very much in Bandster Hell and you just have to go with it. I hope you get a good fill in Oct. Vent on, we feel your pain and empathize and sympathize with you. Mimi

Thanks for your support, Jen. It helps validate that my doc is the failure, not me!!! I am 5'0 and will never weigh what the charts say I should, but failure? NO WAY!!! Thank God for Donna, the lady PA at the practice. She is supportive, kind, and gentle. Mimi
