Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

Uh, oh, Skinny, I have 3 dogs who sleep with me no matter what time I am in bed. I will get them groomed right before my surgery. Your doc is very strict!!!! Not knocking him, just scared my doc will say the same thing!!!! Mimi

    Too tight and miserable...

Teacher, if you have lost 6 pounds in 3 days you are probably getting dehydrated. You need an unfill for your health as other poster's have suggested. Mimi

    Kate's "The Works" special

Kate, it is wonderful that we have another PS to follow. I hope you aill post before and after pictures. I am eager to follow all your PS especially your brachioplasty. That one makes me the most nervous about my decision to have it because the scars are public. Mimi

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

Hibiclens is available in most drugstores. It is in the first aid supplies section around here. It comes in an aqua 8 oz bottle. The staff should be able to help you find it. Mimi

    It's Allie's turn for plastics!

Thanks, Allie, I am taking notes!!!! Mimi
  6. I agree with Patterba and would not have the procedure without letting your surgeon know you are still smoking. Anesthesia and wound healing are big factors. Some doctors do blood tests to see if the patient is still smoking. Mimi

    Banded!!!

Congratulations and welcome to bandland. Mimi

    Sharing Food Log

Lisa, my family teased me about my portions, but when they were moaning and groaning about being too full, I just smiled!!!! I did eat more than you though, but I still ate less than last year when I didn't have any fills yet. Mimi

    Producing....Foam after 4 fill

I think you are too tight and need a small unfill. Are you keeping liquids down enough to urinate every few hours? If not I think you should call your surgeon in the morning. Good Luck, Mimi

    It's Allie's turn for plastics!

I am glad to know about what you are wearing because I have nothing appropriate to wear like you describe so I will keep my eyes open for such an outfit like you are wearing. How many sizes bigger than I am wearing should I buy the loungewear/leisure suit? I am glad you enjoyed your Thanksgiving. I was able to eat a shocking amount of food and of course desserts all turned into slider food. Back on the plan tomorrow!!!!! Mimi

    This band is upsetting me

It's weird, Marmar, but I am tight at 6.25 and still managed to eat alot today at family dinner. Yet I could only eat half a serving of breakfast oatmeal. How many cc/ml do you have? If they were little fills then that is why you are still hungry. I am sorry you are frustrated, but it will get better. Mimi

    Banned 11/25 and ouch

It will get better. Take your meds and walk walk walk. Mimi

What a great NSV, Sweetbean, that is wonderful. And even more special that hubby got it for you right away and didn't make you wait. Mimi

Skinnyjeans turn for a flat tummy

LOL, men are so funny, with all those restrictions it will be wonderful to figure out how to do the deed!!!!! I am sorry you have a pocket of something, but it can't be too extreme or your doc would have you on antibiotics and like you said, you are already using hibiclens. I already have my bottles just waiting for me. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too. Enjoy your day!!!! Mimi

    Fat clothes

Every time I move down a size I send the past to Good Will. I am sorry I didn't keep my biggest size but at the time it was a great feeling to let them go. Some of my clothes leave here barely worn, but I don't want to keep any "Just in case" clothes around!!! Good luck and I know you are fighting the good fight. Mimi

    It's Allie's turn for plastics!

Allie, I am so happy you had a great check up and all is well. Then the added benefit of having a pain free day with a #2 elimination.....YIPPEE!! Post when you are rested. Did the doc say how long you will be in a compression garment? Compared to preop what size clothes did you wear to the doctors? Mimi
  18. Counting calories, exercise, and band adjustments/fills are the components in my success. Mimi

Hi my friends.. having some issues..

Welcome back, CC, I am sorry you are not being listened to at your doc's office, I too am familiar with that kind of treatment. The stoma opening size depends on how many cc are in the band. I don't think you said what is your total band volume. Are you exercising and doing portion control? Good luck, MImi

    Second fill blues??

It might take a couple more adjustments to get your restriction where you want it. Hang in there and try to do regular dieting and exercise til you get to restriction. Good luck, Mimi

    Social Thread ....

Age associated sluggish metabolism is a huge proble. When I was 20 something and this same wt I didn't have all this excess skin and flab....I miss those days. I do the tradmill 2-3 times a week, usually 4 miles or more Sunday morning and I have a Personal Trainer 3 days a week for an hour of wt training and core work and cardio. I am worried about what will happen to my muscles and wt when I have to stop exercising in January because of a series of plastic surgeries and recoveries. It is for sure harder to be older on this journey!!!! How about you, do you exercise and diet? I try to eat a balanced diet while staying at or below 1200 calories. I make sure I get enough calcium and vitamins but I do fall short on protein intake. It (the hard proteins) fills me up fast like it is supposed to, though. I had a tiny fill last week taking me to 6.25 ml and I am finally having restriction and have to do everything very slowly or else!!!!! I am drinking enough and have no issues with fluids so I am thinking this may be my sweet spot for a while!!!! How are your fills? Mimi

    It's Allie's turn for plastics!

Hi, Allie!!! I, too, am sorry your drains aren't coming out but the pain pump idea sounds wonderful. Thanks for telling about your first shower, I will make sure my friend is nearby for my showers......we are going to get real personal, LOL. Working around the compression garment worries me so thanks for the warning. I will have my gameplan in mind. Rest up and heal quickly. Mimi

    Lapband vs Realize

LOL, I am not going to be much help, either. I have the Lap-Band and a close friend has the Realize Band and we are both happy. My surgeon did the same thing to me....left it up to me and it was hard to decide. There are already several threads on this subject if you use the search function you will get lots of info. Best wishes, Mimi
