    I am on the BandWagon!

It is a little complicated to put the ticker on, it took me many tries. The best advice I can give you is to use the search button and read the different posts about it. There is a long detailed post that I printed out and followed step by step but I don't know the exact title. Good luck. I am just now realizing how successful I am. It is scary and freaky to be "normal weight". The best advise I can give you is to take it slow and easy and 1-2 pounds a week adds up in a year. Expect setbacks while hoping for none. Try to find someone to exercise with or if you can get a personal trainer a couple of times a week that would be awesome. I credit my trainer and journaling my food and exercise for the fact that I never had a plateau that lasted even a whole week. When you get restriction cutting back on calories will be much easier. Best wishes. Mimi

    Weak?!

It is hard to get enough protein grams on that low calorie count, are you sure you are getting enough? Are you taking your vitamins? Maybe just getting started with exercise will rev you up, I hope so, I hate that draggy feeling. Best wishes, Mimi
  5. Well, I hope it is just because of loose skin thwapping up and down!!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed that it is an insignificant situation. Mimi

    God must love me

Glad you are OK, Elfie. I hope they fix your car quickly, but with the holidays here, I don't think that will happen. Mimi
  7. H, I hope your bruising is nothing except a side effect of the pre-op blood thinner shot. I admire your riding ability. Mimi

So I got my first fill!!!

I am happy everything went smoothly for you. May I ask why you were reluctant to get a fill? Mimi
  12. Patterba, although everyone is different, I would think you would feel SOMETHING at 6cc. I, too, would be suspicious of missed port. I would try to get moved up but your doc may say no. Best wishes, Mimi

    25% removed?

Wow, MissyMS, had I read that I don't know that I would have gotten the band. Shocking statistic. I hope I am not the 1 out of 4!!!! Mimi

    25% removed?

I find that statistic hard to believe.....what is the source quoted? Mimi

    Backsliding Bander

I am curious to know how much the doc gives you each time? Sometimes adding 1/4-1/2 cc at a time is a good way to sneak up on your sweet spot. I dislike the fact that your doc has made you feel guilty about getting your needs met. My doc has done me that way, too. I am always reluctant to go in because at one point the SOB had a temper tantrum, labeled me a band failure and vowed/threatened to remove my band. I think I hate him. Mimi

    Kate's "The Works" special

Kate, thank you for the update. I feel like we are along for the ride. You sound both upbeat and a trifle depressed. Thanks for the warning about the armpit, that is encouraging. What are you doing about deoderant? Shaving? I hope your monthly waits, too!!!!! Just what you don't need. Sorry about the warning to not lose much more wt and none soon. Best possible wishes, Mimi
  17. Lakota, can't you fight that? That is deceptive and I would think your insurance company would help you fight it. Mimi
  18. My midriff all of a sudden went into Shar-Pei look alike mode. Freaked me out but I am a lot older than you. It happened at about 60 pounds out of the 75 I wanted to lose. I exercise, too. Mimi

    It's Allie's turn for plastics!

Allie, you are a true testimonial to the wonders of PS and self esteem. I am a little worried that at 4 weeks you are still tired because that is when I have to go back to work. Keep partying, G/F!!!!! Mimi

    reflux - fill removal

Lavender, I love your name and scent!!!! That was smart to get rid of temptation with your daughter's help!!! I ate almost a whole big bag of chips I bought for company, just because it was there!!! The only thing I can suggest is to up your exercise to increase your metabolism......sorry for all your reflux problems, that stinks. Best wishes, Mimi

    Too tight and miserable...

H, when can you go for a slight fill? Finding that elusive sweet spot can be a full time job!!!!! Mimi
  22. Mimilou2004

    Too tight

I decided not to get implants so on Jan 4, 10 I will have my arms done and my boobs put back up north a ways!!!! The closer it gets the more nervous I get. Glad your unfill was just right. Mimi

    Fanny Moves to Phase Two

You are incredible to be out partying less than 2 weeks post op. You are hot and gorgeous!!!!! Mimi
  24. Hi, Kim, welcome to LBT. To get a real handle on your calorie intake it is best to journal daily. Taking a brisk walk almost every day will stimulate your metabolism. I understand because I have the metabolism of a slug and counting calories in and exercise out is the only way I made it to goal with no significant plateaus. Best wishes.

    2nd fill...maybe?

I hope if you are short on your quantity that they don't charge you for the fill adjustment. Mimi
