Hi, ppl!!! I have my post op appt today and hope he takes the drain out. The compression garment is to big and really isn't compressing me. I peed out just about all my excess fluid so have minimal swelling. I have only taken about 5 pain pills altogether, so you can see I am not having much pain. I was able to lie on my side last night...it is still a little ouchy over the hips. Thanks for asking!!! Mimi

I believe it is at least 6 weeks if you have the full TT with muscle repair. I had a TT yesterday w/o muscle repair and it sys no heavy lifting for 6-8 weeks. Mimi

LOL, I had an unfill, that is the only reason I could eat the fast food. Haven't had fast food in years!!!! Doc said 2.7 pounds of skin was removed!!! He didn't do more to the muscles because of the port being in the way, but said my muscles were in OK shape, which made me know I will have to hit the situps and crunches when healing permits!!!! I already posted 3 pictures in my album!!! I am in very little discomfort and would do it again in a heartbeat. I think I am still numb from the lidocaine bath or injections. I have a bit of a sore throat from the breathing tube. I am very happy I rented the electric recliner chair, it has come in very handy. I have already eaten a few french fries and part of a Hardee's Cheesegurger. Also have had half a protein shot for health and healing reasons. Thanks for your good wishes and encouragement. Mimi

Do you make chili in your neck of the woods? If you do a search for vegetarian chili, or meatless chili you will get some good suggestions. I wish you luck, oh excuse me, I must go reheat my filet mignon leftover from yesterday, LOL!!!! Mimi

As usual, I agree with Ohm!!!. I didn't start getting restriction for 3 -4 months when I got to 5cc. I gained about 12 pounds!!! Hang in there. Also journaling every bite and sip you take is helpful to see what your true calorie intake is. Best wishes, Mimi

All very valid questions and ones I had, too. My PS won't touch the port so I am wondering about the outcome. My port is already bulging out a bit so I a sure it will be more prominent after surgery and recovery. I will have a port relocation surgery in a few months and get a mini port. I will let you know after Monday's TT if I have a less than good outcome. Mimi

Sorry I got confused, Niki, I was thinking you were having your arms done, too. The "girls will subside and soften over time. I didn't get implants but when the vest was undone the day after surgery my little boobies exploded out and turned (temporarily) into BIG boobies!!!! What kind of chest garment did they put you in? I have heard that thigh work is painful, you are doing well, and hubby is a doll baby!!!! Mimi

If it is your biggest incision it could be your port that is bulging!!!! If it feels warm or turns pink, for sure call your doc. Mimi
