    Need a Fill??

Be honest with your doctor about your concerns. It is possible that they can give you a very small fill to try out a new restriction level. Good luck. Mimi

    Fluctuating Weight

Even though or maybe because I am at goal, I am a scale whore, still yet. My doc doesn't subtract for clothes/shoes and it is always after at least one meal and coffee that I am being weighed in....and that is often at least 6 pounds different from my 1st weigh in in the morning. I wish they subtacted for clothes and shoes!!! Makes me feel like I must be way below goal to get a decent weigh in!!!! Mimi

You have done well, congratulations!!!! Mimi

    Protein Shots anyone??

I use 1/2 a shot twice a day in Crystal light and my hair has stopped thinning. Some posters are not fond of them, but I am. I credit them with my good recovery from Plastic Surgery. I also believe in the whey isolate powders and found a cookies and cream that is so delicious I look forward to drinking it. How many CC's restriction do you have? Do you think a tiny unfill would help you tolerate food better? Best wishes, Mimi

    Mimilou2004's TT

Hi, Niki. I am doing well. I had an emergency unfill Monday and have gained 8 pounds...I know I was really dehydrated and hadn't been eating much for a week, so most of the wt gain was expected. Probably a pound or so is belly swell, which is kind of all over the lower belly. I am glad your drain removal went so well. Now that I am used to the body briefer/onesie I really enjoy them and feel well supported. The glue and scab has come off my incision line, which makes me feel better. I am going to start back with my personal trainer Tuesday, mostly legs and arms and light core/ab work. I haven't exercised since the end of December and am looking forward to restoring lost muscle mass and getting back my cardio endurance. Mimi

Niki, I am glad you are doing so well. Your shopping experience sounds delightful. Did your PS recommend and scar lotion or porion? Mimi

    Mimilou2004's TT

There was even a poster on here that's PS didn't believe in ANY binders!!!! My PS just said he doesn't believe in tight compression, didn't really say why. I spent the day out shopping for 2 more onesies now that I know they can be so comfortable!!!! I just posted my drain free pictures. My drainage was 15cc/24hrs when he took the drain out, but remember, I didn't have as radical a surgery as you did. I have been upright since day one. I think what I had was closer to a simple panniculectomy than a TT. When I woke up this morning I was pretty flat but within a half hour had started swelling some even with the onesie girdle on. I have read that this swelling can go on for months, I hope not but I am mentally prepared if need be. Mimi
  12. I, too, have lived with a too tight band because I was afraid they would take too much out. Sunday I shut down completely and had to go for an emergency unfill, and you guessed it, they wanted to take it all!!!! I refused so we compromised and I am much too comfortable now!!!! I ate at a buffett last night and got my money's worth!!!! I will have to go back to journaling my cals so I don't gain too much til my next fill. Best wishes, Mimi

Niki, I am sorry for your setbacks. I hope you are doing better this morning. My thoughts and prayers will be with you often, today. Mimi

Hey, girl, I am doing great!!!! I have come to terms with my less than spectacular results and the drain came out yesterday. I am in a one piece body briefer and am surprisingly comfortable in it. I tried one of the panty girdles with a high waist but it kept rolling down. My PS doesn't like heavy restriction so these body briefer/onesies are great. I am going to post some new pictures tonight, my spinal curvature is evident in the way I stand, but other than that I think you can see a little progress in healing. Thanks for checking on me, Mimi

Niki's New tummy, boobies and thighs!

Niki, I had my drain out today, did yours come out? It felt really strange and still feels like it is there!!! I would love to get my thighs done but I would have to find another PS because my PS doesn't do thighs. You are doing sooooo great!!! Mimi
  16. I have had more that 25 fills and unfill, none with fluoro and never had a problem. Good luck. Mimi

    wedge pillow?

All good questions, Mom. I bought a $30 wedge pillow at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and took it back unused. Other posters have used them and recommend them. My surgery was milder than many because I had no muscle suturing so not much pain or discomfort. I wore and wear snap front smocks but any nighty would work because the drains were pinned to the binder. I had saved some granny panties that were big enough to go over the binder. My PS didn't want the binder real tight and only around the belly, didn't care about the midriff. I am going to have to have a port relocation surgery because it now sticks out like a golf ball, LOL, and my PS wouldn't touch it. I will post more pictures Monday or Tuesday after the drain comes out. Best wishes. Mimi
  18. I believe your procedure is also referred to as an anchor incision and Shalee04 had it, I think, and is thrilled with the results. She posted that the central incision basically disappeared and she has a great figure. I can see where that procedure would give an hourglass figure compared to a plain TT. Please keep posting about your journey. Mimi

    Fifties and Plastic Surgery

I am almost 59 and have had my arms, breasts and tummy done since January. I am glad to have the excess skin gone, even if I am not hot hot hot. It is strange to have so many scars, but the skin being gone is a wonderful thing. Best wishes on your decision making. Mimi

    Having excess skin removed

Renee, I didn't wait that long and I don't think it is necessary. I was 30 pounds out for my first consult at the PS and it spurred me on to lose more and workout harder. I wish you the best. Mimi

    Mimilou2004's TT

On my home page is a closed album so send me a friend request and you can see my less than beautiful pictures!!! Mimi
  23. I had a tiny bit taken out, just in case (0.2ml) and I am glad I did. I barfed yesterday and my band shut right down. I, too, can go in anytime and get it put back. If you don't have a sensitive band you will probably be OK without an unfill. Good luck. Mimi

    Mimilou2004's TT

I did want my muscles tightened and my port moved, but the PS wouldn't do the port and I didn't know he wouldn't do the muscles. I admit I am disappointed. But my recovery is fast, LOL, so I guess it works out. I am going to post 3 day post op pictures. Not much change. Mimi

    Mimilou2004's TT

Well, to my disappointment he wouldn't take the drain out. Maybe Monday when I go back for follow up. I think I had unrealistic expectations as to the outcome and I wanted instant healing. Golly am I impatient!!! Mimi
