    Tricare standard - psych eval

I agree with Rsilversea, Tricare only cares about your ht and wt. Mimi
  2. If you average 1200-1500 calories a day and exercise modestly you can expect to lose 3-6 pounds a week or even more. How many pounds in a stone? Good luck!! Mimi

    Do slips lead to erosion????

Doggone it, Sue, I am sorry this has happened. I am glad, though, that your question was answered and waiting won't lead to erosion. Mimi

    Too big of a fill?

I am so happy for you....you should be on the mend now. Mimi

    Too big of a fill?

I have found that once the swelling is so bad, little unfills don't do it....needed a big unfill and Nexium for 1-2 wks (me). I hate this happened to you and I wish you the best. The good news is that the swelling will go down and you will get your fills back. Mimi

    Too big of a fill?

Been there, done that, I agree it sounds like you need a little unfill. Good luck, Mimi

    Questions about my fill issues

I wish I knew what was wrong, but I am going through the same thing you are. It is making me crazy and I have to be a little too filled or underfilled and then I immediately gain wt. I am very frustrated and you are NOT alone!!!! Mimi

    Protein

Have you tried the Adkins Ready to Drink? Walmart sells them by the 4 pk and I LOVE their Mocha Latte and Dark Chocolate Royale. It is around $6.50 per 4 pk. I find them filling and yummy. Good luck. Mimi
  10. Well I had my TT this morning and am doing fine. My muscles did not get tightened so my recovery time will be shorter, I think. I still have a Scopolamine patch on, and it is doing well to prevent nausea. No foley catheter inserted, so no discomfort down there!!!! I have an abdominal binder on, but not tight, barely there, in fact. One drain present but will have it for 1-2 weeks. I hope I am pleased with the final results as the doctor was not aggressive with my midriff and I still have some of the wrinkling I had pre-op. Mimi
  11. Jessica, I am really sorry you are going through this. I can sympathize and empathize as I am going through something similar. I just had all the fluid out 4/27 and have built back up to 5.4 and am so tight I can barely keep even sips of clear liquids down.....but I don't want to be completely unfilled again. Gosh, the expense is horrendous. I have an appt next Thursday with the compassionate PA so I will see what she says. Best wishes, Mimi Hopefully they will start you off at 4 or 5 CC's.....BEG!!!!!
  12. I have spent hundreds of dollars on Mederma over the past 6 months using it faithfully 3 times a day on my PS scars and do not believe it works. Why do I keep using it? Hope springs eternal, LOL!!!! I WANT it to work. My PS says any good lotion and MASSAGE is the key!!! He likes Shea butter, but it is very messy. Mimi
  13. I am so very sorry and do hope everything works out. I have had 16 months of fill and unfills and now it looks like the band was not put in at the right place....I don't know if my insurance will cover a reposition and I am scared to death of getting fat again. My thoughts and prayers are with you and Sue. Mimi

Slipped - Probably having band replaced....

Sue, I am sorry for your slip and bad luck. I hope you recover fast and don't have any complications. I think you are thin enough to have a mini port put on and I don't know why you couldn't have it put back in the same place. Keep posting. Mimi

    Any Military Folks Out There?

You will have more luck getting information if you tell us where you are going to be assigned. You didn't give much information. Mimi
  16. You haven't mentioned if your doc gave you a fill at surgery. Being stuck is not pleasant but it shouldn't happen often. I agree that if you are still losing in 2 weeks and are not getting too hungry, it would be OK to reschedule your appt. Keep posting and let us know how you do. Mimi

    thigh and arm elephant skin

Well, this could be long. I had my boobs done (no implants) and arms done in January. There was very little pain. The boob scars ar fading. The arm scars are still there but fading a bit every week. I DO wear 3/4 length sleeves all the time, partly to protect from the sun. My boobies are nice but there is a lot of back fat and side fat that no bra conceals. This is an age/stretched skin problem.....if I had it removed I would not only have a horrendous scar I would not be able to lift my arms....because when I raise my arms everything smooths out. The PS referred to it as tenting. I had my TT done 2 months later and my PS didn't do a great job. I have an uneven scarline meaninging he didn't put the incision in the same place on both sides. My PS won't do thighs, but I need that done. The strange part is that the butt and thighs is where I gain wt now that the arms, boobies, and tummy have been reduced!!!! Maybe because he did a minimal TT I had no real pain. Some ppl do. See at least 3 PS and have them explain just how the outcome will be. Best wishes, Mimi

    Why journal?

Leigha, you are spot on. I have been journaling from the beginning and recently slacked off. I immediately gained wt and realized I really am benefitted by journaling food, drink, and exercise. It helped me pinpoint where the extra calories were coming from and to make rational decisions. Mimi

    Hope I am not overfilled...

I am so glad you decided to go for an unfill. I completely understand how sweet plain old cold water tastes after a too tight episode. I am going for yet another trial fill tomorrow and hope I don't get overfilled. It is hard when each adjustment costs me $125 and my sweet spot is elusive. Mimi

    Hope I am not overfilled...

I have been chasing the sweet spot for a year with fills, overfills, and unfills. They need to be able to use smaller syringes, in my opinion, to give tinier amounts. I hope your "little" unfill does the trick. It is miserable being overfilled!!! Best wishes, Mimi

    Isnt it strange.....

I have noticed that same phenomenon.....my co-workers ttell me, "You have got to stop!!" and I will have just regained 3 pounds!!!!! Go figure!!! I am sorry you are going through a down patch and plateau. I hope it passes soon as you are too nice a person to be worried and depressed. When I stall I evaluate my journal and find all the "little" places I have slipped up and often find they add up to the problem. Best wishes and good luck. Mimi PS...where did your avatar go?
  24. Tehehehehehe.....I love it!!!!!! Mimi
