  1. Congratulations on your wt loss and feeling better and your surgical date. I am still suffering but scared to get the unfill. Mimi

    Swelly Belly

Sorry about your swelling, Sue, but I am glad your surgery is over and you did fine, except for the swelling. Mimi

    Band #2 Today, 7/20/10

Best wishes, Sue. I so understand about needing the "Belly Cop". Mimi
  4. Yes, fibrous includes salads, but after working through the recovery stages and getting fills you may be able to eat those things again, many bandsters do. Mimi
  5. Yes, I am having symptoms similar to yours but I am afraid of having the PA do a little unfill because "they" are heavy handed and don't know what a "little" unfill is!!! I am so scared of gaining wt from too big an unfill. I guess when I am tired of the reflux, barfing, and stomach burning I will do something about it. 2 Radiologists said I have a slip (from 2 different upper GI series) but my doctor says no. Mimi
  6. I posted one a few months back in this section. If you use the search button it should pop up. It is so easy and yummy yummy yummy. Mimi
  7. Suzanne, I do wish you maximum luck!!!! I also wish your insurance would let you have a sleeve, no more messing around with fills, etc. Mimi

    Eat before fill?

Chris, many doctors have no restrictions. Mine is excessively restrictive....2 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids, 2 days soft food. Bleck!!! Mimi

    gastric band

You are spelling his name wrong. There are a couple of threads on here about him.

    Eat before fill?

I agree that empty is the way to go. If you have anything in your pouch or stomach you won't get an accurate reaction to the adjustment. Best wishes, you will do fine. Mimi

Do I need a little unfill?

TN, I am so glad you are feeling better!!! Mimi

Do I need a little unfill?

Sweetbean, how is it doing now? Mimi

Is my 3rd fill too much??

I am very tight like you and keep thinking I need a little unfill but I am also afraid they will take out too much. Play it by ear and if you start barfing or losing wt faster than you want to then call for a small unfill. Good luck, Mimi

    Can't feel Port anymore????

Kind of strange, eh? Are you trying to feel it while you are standing? If so it could be a lot lower than you expect. 20 pounds is significant, congratulations!!!! Mimi

    I'm at my lowest

Cocoabean and Windus both said what I was going to say. You are losing the targetted amount while still having good meals. Best wishes, Mimi

    In the 120's!

I am very happy for you!!! I am a bit short of 5' and feel great at 129/130. I lost a bit more for wiggle room during maintenance but decided if I regain to 129 ish than I would be OK with that. Best wishes, Mimi
  17. Mimilou2004

Do you think I need another fill?

What are the scales saying? If you are losing 1-2 pounds a week I would hold off on a fill until you have mastered eating at this fill. Just an opinion. Good luck, Mimi

    3 months out

I love my trainer, she is supportive and encouraging and I know I can eat more calories after she has worked me out, LOL!!! If my wt changes by 2 or 3 pounds we discuss my diet and exercise and expectations and work out a plan. I wish you the best, Mimi

    Happy Bandiversary to Me!

I am so happy for your success. And BTrieger's picture of the HB is incredible!!!! Mimi

    3 months out

Mary, there is no reason for you to regain your wt if you maintain your exercise and calories. Not to put down your trainer but that is old school thinking. That being said, I hve been working maintenance for a few months and have to say it is easy to get complacent and backslide.....but continuing to journal my calories and keep up my exercise has helped me grow through this phase of the lapband journey. Best wishes, Mimi

    Band removed/gastric sleeve 7/6

Thank you for your story, Ellisa. I hope your VSG serves you well. Mimi

    What do you think?

They should not make you wait 3 weeks. Do what another poster did and call back and say 3 wks is unacceptable and you needed a fill at your July 1st appt and want to be worked in immediately. Be proactive and stop taking it out on yourself because it is NOT your fault!!!! Mimi

    Soup, good or bad?

JennaVictoria, I am a little concerned about how tight you are.....are you considering a little unfill? Mimi
  24. Laura, in your thread starter post you said the pain was under your RIGHT breast. Mimi
