As long as you are tolerating fluids well, stay on them a few days then gradually add thicker things. You want to make sure any fill swelling is minimized. If you can't keep fluids down then call in for advice. Best wishes, Mimi

should i get another fill or wait to my next appointment
Mimilou2004 replied to btorres0698's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I agree with the others that if you are losing w/o a struggle hold off on the fill. Otherwise I think the 0.25ml adjustment would be a good idea. Good luck, Mimi -
Usually 45 to 60 minutes including stretches....she won't leave until I can bend and flex everything that moves!!!!! She tailors my workout to all my aches and pains but doesn't let me get away with trying to con her into an easy workout, LOL!!! She is good about chaging up the exercises to avoid my getting bored, which is so wonderful!!! Mimi

I love my PT, she is gently encouraging yet somehow makes me want to make the maximum effort. I have been with her for almost 2 years and I dread the day she says she is moving or something because I don't do it on my own. It costs $675 for 6 weeks, 3 times a week. Expensive? Yes, but I am in better shape at almost 60 than I have ever been. I do want to tell you, as hard as my PT works me, I still had to have my batwings surgically removed!!! I can live with the scars better than the bat wings. Good luck, Mimi

How do you know your lap band slipped?
Mimilou2004 replied to June May's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Why do you throw up all the time? What is your wt loss? Stable or have you gained? It is not a healthy way to live barfing all the time and could mean a slip or a hernia or simply that you are overfilled. Have you discussed this with your doctor and if not, why not? Mimi -
I am not quite sure what you are asking for....the endoscopy is easy and pleasant with a quick nap and no memory of the procedure. The upper GI is a little icky because of the drink but even that has gotten better from the last one I had 30 years ago and is over very quickly. Fasting is the most unpleasant part of both procedures. Did I help? Mimi

What is your status? I have been where you are and it isn't pleasant. I hope you got a little unfill. Mimi -
Here's what I have to say....OMG!!!!! Thanks for the link, it was an excellent article. Mimi

I take the liquid ibuprofen and wash it through with a large glass of liquid so there is nothing hanging around in my pouch. I think if a person has good restriction then coated ibuprofen would not be a good idea as it will sit in the pouch for a long time. Of course I discussed it with my surgeon ahead of time. Mimi

Looks like a try at free advertising to me!!!

I wish you a whole lot of success and great wt loss. Mimi

How long should I wait before having a TT??
Mimilou2004 replied to spoiltmom's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Mine was only about 4 pounds because it was just loose skin with essentially no fat attached. Mimi -
Thank you. Mimi

You have had a rough time and I am sorry. I hope you feel better very soon. Mimi

I think it is OK and even a good thing to start now interviewing possible surgeons...it will help you make plans. That being said, I think you should be closer to your goal before surgery. Many PS want your weight stable for several months before they operate so fat distribution is done shifting. It is exciting and I am happy for you. Mimi -
But it's not. I will check again tomorrow, but right now I am on page 6 and there are posts from this afternoon and last night on the same page.
