I am so sorry for just now getting back to you. I haven't been on this site for a very long time and didn't know I had messages.
To answer your question, it took 1 1/2 years to get to 165. The last 20 or so pounds is the hardest but well worth the effort. Thanks so much for your kind words!

Am i too late to join in??? im doing horrible banded Aug 4th. First fill Oct 4th. Very slight restriction and im hungry and eating TOO much!! im so upset. Spoke to nurse practitioner at drs office. They have me down for second fill Dec 18th. I hope this one works better :crying: I need this motivation. current 254 goal 246 Im going to be conservative and not set myself up for failure, but im hoping to lose at least ten.

im sorry you had so much trouble. i had my first fill today. dr gave me a local anethetic to numb me first. he found the port site right away with the needle. i hope its always like that. -
thanks flem! at least i know im not alone. i guess this is about the time folks start getting clinically depressed (i never understood why they said "depression is a side effect" of the band) because we all have such high hopes for success that when it does not happen quick and easy we start to get down. ive made resolve to come here every day, get my water in, eat what i should and not what i shouldnt. i gotta make this work................its hard.

im with you mo! dont give up. i havent lost anything in a long time. today im making a new start to get all my water in, walk ever day and stick to mostly protiene and veggies! i have to do this, there are no other options for me. its sooooo hard i know keep trying!!

Hey Guys, im back!! long time no lab band talk.com lol! im depressed because im not losing and im hungry and eating too much. im not gaining though. i cant believe how much i can eat and not feel full! i havent had a fill because ins co wont pay until 90 post surgery. i go the first week of nov. the only time i can tell i have a band is if i eat too fast. if i eat slow i can eat three pieces of pizza if i want not what i expected this to be like. im really bummed.

hey there, remember me? just wanted to see how people who were banded with me were doing? i have only lost 22 pounds and am really bummed!! im eating way more than i thought i was going too. ins co wont let me get a fill unil 90 days after surg. so that makes it nov 4th. have you had a fill yet? how are you doing?

Hi, My name is Rachelle. I missed your messages when you sent them. Life has been a little crazy and trying to recoup and get back on schedule. God is good all the time! My mom hated roller coasters and I know that seems like an almost petty reason to lose weight but there is so much more behind it. My ankles have been covered with swelling for the past 2 years so I have found my ankles in the past 2 weeks. It is really cool! I will be watching for your posts.

Yesterday I was getting ready for work and I was looking in the mirror drying off and I noticed a huge bump at the bottom of my neck. I freaked out. I was poking it, feeling if it would move or if it were hard or soft. I went right to my dh and was panicked. He started laughing at me "hun, thats your collar bone!" It took me 21 pounds to find my collar bone! Now im wondering what else is gonna pop out on me...........YIKES!
We have a lot in common too! Im a homeschool mom, and love the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior! God is good and He will help you succeed. I only WISH I were good at math lol!
