    Fruits

I had my surgery 1 month ago and have been craving fruit like crazy. Is it too soon to start eating fruit or should I avoid it all together?
  2. Hello everyone, I’m two months post op and I’m having a lot of trouble getting any food/liquid to stay in my system. I have tried just about everything and nothing seems to sit well with my stomach. From clear protein, protein shakes, jello, beans, soups, and much more. Some days I only get some water in and throw up everything else, other days I can keep down just a tiny bit of the protein. I’ve also tried spacing out my intake and drinking slowly and taking tiny sips or bites but nothing seems to work. I’m starting to get really worried because I’m feeling more nauseous than before. And I’ve recently started to get light headed and almost fainted today. Unfortunately my bariatric doctor is out for the next two weeks. Should I just go to a regular physician or clinic? Will they be able to help? I’m a bit hesitant since I’m so comfortable with my surgeon but I don’t think I should wait two weeks either. I may be overthinking going to another doctor

    Unhappy

I am one month post op and I am unhappy with my decision to have bypass surgery. My family and friends continue to tell me I’ll feel happy later on when I loose all the weight and doctors keep telling me eventually I’ll feel normal again. But I feel like there is no end in sight. Im not happy, constantly in pain, hungry but i can’t eat, thirsty but i can’t drink. I was excited before the surgery and wish I was happy now. Did anyone else feel this way? I feel alone when I talk to the few people I know that have had this surgery because they’re all very happy with their weight loss.

    Trouble eating food after bypass

Hey there! I had my surgery on May 23rd and have had the same issue with eating. It’s been awful, but I’ve been told it is normal and that everyone is different. I got to the point where I was afraid to try new foods because I didn’t want to feel sick. I know it’s hard and frustrating but patience is key. And don’t forget that this is your journey, I would become even more stressed when other patients said they were already eating solids at my stage. I try to focus more on my liquids to avoid feeling weak throughout the day.The foods that go down the best for me are banana and refried beans. You’re not alone and I hope you find something that doesn’t make you feel sick.

    Fruits

It doesn’t say anything specific about fruit, just that I can start solids after July 4th.
