I think it is safe to say that EVERYONE hits stalls. It's frustrating, but happens to everyone. Lots of adjusting going on in your body, so your system has to catch up.

This is info your surgeon and staff should have given you. Did they not go over a meal plan/schedule???

My doctor also said that if you go with Sleeve, if you need a revision, you have more options.

Jealousy from others?
SuziDavis replied to luvcanasta's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know, I don't really let it get to me. People are miserable. -
I did and still do at times struggle with this. I worry my husband will think I look gross, and even though he tries to assure me that won't happen, who really knows? I was used to my bigger body and how to hide and deal with it... it will just be a new learning curve, but worth it to have more options in the future.

Jealousy from others?
SuziDavis replied to luvcanasta's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have had a few comments from people that I wasn't expecting. One of my friends said "we could look better too if all our husbands paid for it". and then the "easy way out' Comments. I don't let it bother me. There's nothing easy about it. -
Sams has Fairlife too, it's in the area with vitamins though, so it's easy to miss. Try the 1st Phorm Shakes. They mix better than others, I too have texture issues so I get it.

Baritastic is the best App I have found, it's free, and better than some of my paid apps.

Will relationship go from bad to worse?
SuziDavis replied to tiffanyb12211's topic in The Gals' Room
Not for nothing, but surgery or not, why? Why are you living with that? I can assure you there are better people out that would love you heavy or not. And if he is a d**k all the time, it won't make your journey easy. You need support to live a healthy lifestyle, so maybe shed the extra weight and person... JS 😒 -
Does Patchaid Really Work?
SuziDavis replied to shexmoves's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
my doctor and Nutritionist said not to use them. I also hate the chewables, so I use the ProCare Health 1 a day pill with Iron -
The outside weather doesn't effect me quite as back as the AC does. But my husband is one of those people who says, we live in south Florida, so we never need the heat... It was in the 30s a few nights, so in the house it was like 63, I was freezing. I had blankets, a hood, pants... I hope this doesn't last.

Sunbed after the surgery…
SuziDavis replied to Johanna90's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
just keep in mind that your scars will sometimes darken with excess sun exposure. -
Your body is adjusting and in shock. You will be fine. Just stick to your plan.

This post is so needed. I think most often you see people getting another surgery, which is scary to think about. Thank you for sharing this!

Straws, bariatric fusion vitamins, testing day after, soups, showers
SuziDavis replied to Erin18's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1. Are straws allowed while drinking anything? I swear I was told that you can I was told no at first and then that changed, the issue is people suck too much air or drink too fast. 2. I'm thinking about getting the Bariatric Fusion Vitamins. The nurse at the bariatrics office tells me that she recommends them over getting the vitamins separately. Do I still need other vitamins on top of those? Bariatric fusion multivitamin chews are so gross, super chalky. I get my B-50 from them, but I use the one a day Multi with Iron and also my Calcium NOW® Cal-Mag DK from ProCare Health and I love it. I get B-12 from the store. 3. So, I was wondering if we get tested the day after surgery to see if everything is working the way they're supposed to? Or is every surgeon different? (Like I said I will be asking my surgeon all of these questions) I was tested the day after, that was it. they had me drink contrast and they scan you. 4. Soups...we can use the broth in any Soup? Probably the lower sodium Soups right? Yes, bone broth is good 5. Last, but not least. Do they usually let you take a shower after surgery or do you have to wait awhile? I would really like to shower before I come home. Surgery is getting closer and closer...ahh! I was able to shower the day after I got home, 2.5 days after surgery. The Glue held fine, no issues 2 Bonus question, what is or did everyone pack for surgery? Lose comfortable clothes, a robe, sandals or slippers for walking, basic toiletries and something to do while in the hospital for a day. Is their going to be a drain placed? No drain -
For those who had skin removal surgery
SuziDavis replied to Suzi_the_Q's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
This is all dependent on where you started, and how well your skin bounces back. So your result may be very different than others -
Not a pretty subject constipation help! please
SuziDavis replied to Merri Beth's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This has been my biggest Pain In The Ass problem, literally. I have been taking fiber pill daily, and it has helped a lot. I also try to have a small No Sugar Added apple sauce every day. It will get better when you figure out what your body needs. -
I was a 42 H and am now already down to a 38 G. It's a noticeable difference to me... I am preparing myself for the likelihood that I will be deflated by the end of this.

And this is why I love this forum. Thanks love. I think we all start feeling down about stalls and its always helpful knowing other people are going through or feeling the same.

I have been using Baritastic, it is great and free. But I recently signed up for the 1st Phorm App, it's worth the money and has a daily workout and trainers to guide you.
