  1. Epsom salt, Pink Salt, "No Salt" Salt & baking soda make a very good electrolyte drink, taste like salty tears, but it works. Also, Epsom salt is a laxative, so it would help with your other issues. The mix you want to use is... 2 L WATER 1 TSP POTASSIUM CHLORIDE (NO SALT Salt) 1/2 TSP SODIUM CHLORIDE (HIMALAYAN PINK SALT) 1 TSP SODIUM BICARBONATE (BAKING SODA) 1/2 TSP MAGNESIUM SULPHATE (EPSOM SALTS - FOOD GRADE)

    What was your “Moment” ?

My son graduated last June, I saw a pic of myself taken that day... I had already been considering surgery, but that was the push. He graduated on June 8th 2022, I picked a surgeon and had my date locked in on June 26th 2022. I knew if I didn't just do it, I would still be here thinking about it a year later. I booked my date on my first call with the doctor, rushed to get all clearances and even got covid 3 weeks prior to surgery... 😫 But I wouldn't have done anything differently.
  3. I chose the sleeve due to the recovery and complication rate being lower, and having more options for revisions, if needed, later down the road. I knew I would probably take longer to hit my goal weight, but I was ok with that.
  4. I used dark chocolate in mine to limit the sugar. And also used sugar free maple syrup. My flour was carbalose flour. My protein only has 3g sugar a serving and 110 calories, so this ended up being a great snack to leave in the fridge. Cookie dough recipe 16oz container of cottage cheese 1/4 cup maple syrup 2 tsp vanilla 2 cups almond flour(or preferred flour) 1/2-2/3 cup protein powder of choice 1 cup chocolate chips Blend the cottage cheese, syrup and vanilla till it looks like yogurt, then mix in the rest. Adjust to taste.
  5. I am not a huge sweets person, I made it and just have it in the fridge for a little spoonful here and there. I did it with chocolate protein, and i definitely was good skipping the chips.

    TMI WARNING: Bowel Movement

I had the same for a while in the beginning, I was told it was normal due to the changes in diet and whatnot.
  7. This is just cottage cheese and protein... so it's got all the things we need and nothing bad in it. It tastes good enough to eat with out adding chips, and there's a lot of yogurts that are worse for you.

    Discouraged after Surgery

This is a marathon, not a race. Just keep on it and don't get discouraged.
  9. I walked 9 hours at Universal studios in the Florida heat 4 weeks post surgery...lol. You will be ok. and you can eat some stuff by then. AND, you will be smaller....
  10. That is the plus, it fills the sweet tooth, but it's not bad.

    Coffee, Starbucks?

I am a coffee addict, I literally drink coffee all day, everyday, so this was something I had to have in life...lol My drink at Starbucks right now is Venti Toasted Vanilla Shaken Espresso, only 3 pumps syrup and 2 extra shots. At home, I keep Stok cold brew on hand and will mix with my protein powder in the AM and then I use sugar free syrups or creamers. Coffeemate has a few good ones, like the sugar free Twix. But I really like the Silk Oatmeal Cookie Oat Milk Creamer, it's just not sugar free.

    Chewable Vitamins vs Swallowing

I do not like the chewable, the taste and texture make me gag, I get capsules. I get to take less and i haven't had an issue with taking them,
  14. From what I have read in the revision forum, you don't lose like you did the first time when you have the revision. So I wouldn't stress about it,
  15. 1st Phorm. All their flavors are good.
  16. I am almost 11 months post opp and the last 2-3 month I have seen a dramatic halt in weight loss. It's to the point that I feel like I should have went with bypass instead of sleeve. At what point did you see the slow down? Did anyone plateau before they were even close to the goal? And did you do anything in particular to get the weight loss going again?

    Stalls suck

Stalls do suck... I am almost a year out and am on a cycle of stall for a month, lose a few pounds, then stall another month and so on... But I am not gaining... so there's that.
  23. Have you considered a therapist? There are a lot of people who need to talk to a therapist over a nutritionist, due to this being a mental thing and not a nutrition thing. With the times you didn't go through with it, and how you are feeling I think it might help you.
