Hey hun! Congrats on getting banded....im not banded yet....i will join you in a few weeks time! Im still on my pre op diet stage...and have lost about 5lbs so far. I will start the protein shakes in just under a week. So i know i will have some big losses then. Hun dont woryy to much about having a few bad things. The main thing is that you stick to what the doc's says and follow through your full liquids/musheies stages etc. I know it can be extra hard with no restriction, but you will be on solids soon.
Every one is different and some people will loose before they get there first fill, but other do gain...and it is totally normal especially as you have no restriction. I find that keeping a log of what you eat helps...and excercise will also help. but dont over do it! You need to let your body heal up first. If your only eating 800/900 cals im sure you will loose. Even when i eat 1500 cals a day i loose weight.
Make sure you getting in plenty of fluids as you dont want to dehyrdate your self.
