I had this surgery done for severe laryngeal reflux and to fix a hiatal hernia. Initially, I had a TIF done in 11/2019. It worked GREAT for 6 months and then poof it disappeared. Tried it a 2nd time 7/2021-didn't work, hernia had come back and I ended up with pneumonia induced sepsis. That Nov tried just ablating the esophagus didn't work so then they suggest the Roux-en-Y to treat it. I am now 5 weeks post-op and am slowly recovering, been hard with another bout of either pneumonia or just too much fluid in my lungs. So I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and hearing your experience and hopefully getting some good advice.
