Great! you've got a surgery date. I don't know why but I wasn't worried about the surgery itself. But when it came time for my first fill, everyone knew I was a bit rattled, even when the nurse called me in noticed that I was nervous. It all went very well. I didn't have a lot of pain after surgery, but did take the pain meds to help me sleep, getting in and out of bed was a chore. I only told my daughters, one of my brothers, and a couple of friends that I was having the surgery. My youngest didn't want me to do to it, but didn't protest too much. It has been about 3 months and I still haven't told anyone at work, they knew I was going in for surgery but not what it was exactly. I figure that it is not anyone's business. I went on a vacation to see out of state family, we went out to eat, I was then forced to tell my two sisters, they just had a lot of questions, guess there wasn't too much to say since I had already had the surgery. My advice is, if you know they are going to object or give you a hard time, is not to tell them. Good luck, and let me know how it is all going.
