    June 21st Peeps

Not sure about the COVID results yet. They take 24-48 hours. I just got the call with my time for surgery. 8:30am Monday.

I'm not feeling better yet, which is strange to me. the shakes are just not tasting right. I don't know if I am coming down with a cold or something and that's why, but it is making it really hard for me to get my protein in. My pre-op COVID test is tomorrow and I'm kind of worried about it

Hi! Mine is the 20th as well. So far i just have a few shakes and a few vitamins. I got a multivitamin with iron melt, a biotin melt and a sublingual b12. I need to still get vitamin D and i think thats it for the vitamins. You should probably grab some no sugar added ice pops and maybe sugar free jello.

My surgery is the 20th so I’m on Day 11 odd the pre-op diet. Today was really a bad day because I tried to have my shake for breakfast and it made me nauseous. I took a few sips and it was just making me too sick so I thought I might just be sick of that flavor so I tried a different one. That one made me nauseated as well. I’m at a loss of why. Normally I have no problems with the protein shakes I but, but today they just are making me sick.

    Time to surgery

I started the process mid January and go for surgery June 20th so that’s about 5 months. Initially my insurance required 5% weight loss, then it changed to 1 pound weight loss and 6 months of nutrition visits, then it changed to 1 pound weight loss and 3 months.

I was told not to snack, but instead to drink a lot of water/crystal light. I spoke with another woman who had the same dr and he allowed her a cheese stick or something. It's just not enough

My pre-op isnt fun lol. I'm on day 6 and I can only have 2 shakes a day and a protein heavy, low carb meal. I am having a really hard time with the diet. I feel like I'm always hungry. My stomach is always growling and it makes me cranky. I have seen many people here saying they get 4 or 5 shakes a day and i am VERY JEALOUS!! I would love to throw in an extra shake or 2 during the day to try to curb the hunger. What is your pre-op diet?

Hi- I'm new to the group. Just joined yesterday. I'm 38 years old and started the process on Jan10th with a starting weight of 305.4. Currently on my 2 week pre-op diet (no fun lol) and am at about 291. I'm having the sleeve done on the 20th. Like most of us, I am extremely worried about the after effects of the surgery and the recovery process. The biggest fear is that I will have gone through all of this and just not see the results. I have had so many appointments, clearances, tests and procedures to make sure that I'm able to have this done and now that that is all over, I'm just scared. Also I'm worried about the COVID test. I really don't want to come up positive and have my whole schedule ruined. How are you all? How is everyone coping?

It is one of my favorite flavors so far! I also like the Fairlife Chocolate and the Slimfast Strawberry. The Premier strawberry is good, but not as good as the Slimfast. The Slimfast only has 20 grams protein where the Premeir has 30

My surgery is on the 20th. My pre-surgery diet is 2 weeks of 2 protein shakes and one low carb, high protein meal, then the day before surgery and 3 days after is clear liquids only. At that point I can start having 3 protein shakes a day for 2 weeks. Then a pureed diet for another 2 weeks. After that it can be more normal textured food as long as it is cut well, not dry and chewed thoroughly. They said the meals should be mostly protein and then non starchy vegetables can be added in,
