So far so good on my fill. I went to Houston's for early dinner. I had a crab cake and some spinach dip. Yummy. Not sure about restriction. I am just being careful, but I still think I can eat too much. Have a happy and safe 4th. Good luck on the fill Melissa. Walk and use a heating pad for those gas pains. That's all that worked for me. Poodles I hear your frustration. Maybe it is time to look at the bypass or one of its off shoots. THis is not for everyone and maybe this will not work for you. You've given it a year and if you feel that way at least explore your options. We love ya and will support whatever your decision. We are here for you.

Dick met me at Jade Palace. It was good and a nice change. I was able to have won ton soup and moo goo gai pan. It was mushies in my opinion. Next time it will be soup and crab stuffed won tons. That's got to be the chinese version of chips and dip. Hope all will be feeling better soon. So far my fill is doing good and problems have been averted.

Glad everyone is doing well. My fill so far is going good. No major problems and possible problems have been averted. We went for Chinese tonight and I got moo goo gai pan. It was gooey enough to qualify for mushies and I chewed the chicken really well. No problems. One more day of mushies and then solids start. I bought some of those WW meals for lunch. They had some new ones and target had them on sale for $1. I'm going to try that instead of having soup so much.

Thanks for the update SallyJo. I found the thread about the cruise so I got to see lots of pics. Sorry about your band. THis thing is so fickled. We're meeting at 6:15 at Jade Palace. Gives me time to get there from Tai Chi. See you tomorrow night.

Dr. Spiegel is a great surgeon. No problem with the surgery or the band. His office sucks. His aftercare program is just as bad. I go to the surgicenter for my fills. He insists on giving them now so the schedule is not as flexible as before. I would look around. Dr. Spivak, Dr. Mathew St. Laurent, and upcoming Dr. Garth Davis. Davis does more gastric bypasses, but has gotten into the lapband. There are many fine surgeons in Houston. You need to match your personality with theirs so that aftercare goes well. Its not like other surgeries where you have the surgery and you're done with the surgeon. They are with you for a long time through the process.

Jade Palace is on old 1960. It is on the corner, left side. Not sure, but there may be a traffic light there. Its after the post office. You might have to set your defaults again. I think everytime they make changes we have to go back and reset something.

Glad to hear all went well Reginia. Now back to the program. Glad hubby is joining you. It's more fun with two. So far so good on fill. I haven't had anything to eat yet, but my coffee is going down just great. I'm leaving for a 90 minute massage. Its hard, but I just have to force myself to indulge.

Went to PCP for blood work today. Should know next week why I'm so tired and excessive urinating. She did test me immediately for diabetes, but that was good. Glad I didn't develop that issue. Having chronic fatigue and fibromalgia makes me panic a little when i get some of those symptoms back again. My eyes are doing better, but still have some redness on the outer lids. Not sure what that is and forgot to ask the doctor today. Will start mushies tomorrow. A few more days and I should know whether this fill is too tight or not. I don't feel restricted so I'm thinking we're good. DH was able to get me a iphone online from Apple. My order is confirmed, expedited shipping. Still don't know exactly when I'll get my new toy, but I'm excited. Not sure why I wanted this so bad, but I did. Now I see all the accessories for it and have to have some. I'll wait until I get the phone and see what I really need. Have a great weekend.

When I had my fill on Wednesday Spiegel mentioned my year and that i wasn't losing much now. Wondered what was going on. He didn't suggest any tests or anything this time. I went to my PCP today for my 6 month blood work a few months late. I told her of my tiredness, excessive urinating, and being thirsty and getting leg cramps. She immediately did the sugar test for diabetes but that was good. So I should know some results next week. Maybe its just some minor adjustment and we can get back on track. Jade Palace works for me. I think it will be a good choice for us all and we can stay away from a temptation of a buffet.

Jade Palace is probably better because we can order just what we want. The buffet gives lots of choices, but can't eat that much. Whatever everyone wants is OK with me. I can do either one. Just let me know. I'll be wearing black. :mad:

Next door to car/tire place? Its right alongside main/1960 old? If that's it I like that place. Good food and many choices. That would be good.

What health food store? I would like to try something different. Dick and I go to La Villa a lot so I would be up for something new.

What place do you have in mind to eat? I've heard the Jade Palace is good. I tried it years ago, but recently saw a write up about it. There is also restaurants along 59 or W. Lake Houston. I'm game for something new.

Is Monday our day to meet? I have Tai Chi so I can't meet you until 6:15. Let me know if you want Humble Cafe or somewhere else. Hope you are feeling better Suzanne. Let us know how the blood counts are going. I have my blood work done on Friday. Had my fill today and everything was fine with my band. Got another .2. Hope this goes well and I can get back to losing.

Miguel you are doing great. What a difference 60 lbs makes. I had my fill a few hours ago. Got the chills as usual about an hour afterwards. No other side effects so far. Had some soup and still hungry. Hope this one gives me some restriction without major PBs. He wanted to know why I stopped losing. I had only lost 1/4 lb from my last fill. Although disappointed, I was so glad it wasn't a gain. Especially after all the protein drinks I had in Vegas. It definitely could have gone the other way. He wants me not to eat soup or liquids at all. He thinks I'm eating easy foods and that's why I'm not losing. I'm not losing because I've had ice cream and cookies and queso and chips! I'm going to try and do better. Hope yours goes well Melissa. You can enjoy the 4th and then get down to it. Let us know. Hope everyone else is doing well. It's time for me to renew my efforts and get busy getting this weight off. DH and I are going on a cruise for Christmas. I would like our pictures to show a slimmer me!!!

I need to go back and do that to mine so others can know who is who. I go for fill tomorrow at 12:45. Having pork chops for my last supper. I don't think I'll be able to eat much once they fill me up. I just hope I can keep it and not have to have it taken out.

Oh I am so sorry Suzanne. I'm a little confused which dog is which, but I guess your total was 3? The little itty bitty dog is still at home? How/where did the dog get shot? That is scary. Pets are family. The potassium count is scary as well. I know its important to get it down, but finding the root cause is just as important. I believe you said this was a new doctor. I think I would be finding a specialist and find out what is going on. What causes the levels to go so high. Hang in there. Here's hoping things get better for you.
