I got my date too... July 20,2009.. its exactly 11 days before my birthday!!!.I am so excited I started this whole process Feb 2009 and recieved my approval on 6/2/09...I am so excited to start my 30th year of life on my way to a skinner me and healther me.... I have been doing a lot of research and Im ready to strap that band on myself =)...I will keep you guys posted...

Hello Folks....Just a relationship question.....How has having weight loss surgery changed the relationship you were or currently in?

I think you should be happy that you have lost 40 pounds in 4 months and think about this....where would you be if you did not get the lap band.....Maybe 40 pounds heavier.....Be happy about what you have there are others out there who dont have it and would be happy to be in your shoes...

You are not alone...I actually have Kaiser and they are the same way with the authorization but they also make you attend a 6 month diet and then there is still no a sure thing your going to get the lap band. I really think that the insurance companies are tighting up so that they dont have to pay out all the money...Good luck..I'm getting another insurance company next year and I hope (Finger Cross) I will start my process next year.... Good Luck...Keep your head up.
