I'm a few months in, on my journey. My insurance requires 6-months of nutrition visits. My last visit will be the first week of August. I hope and pray that I'll be able to have the surgery late August or September! I've completed all of my other requirements - psych eval, endoscopy, mammogram.

My insurance will cover the surgery, with a starting BMI of 35, with comorbidities - or starting BMI of 40, with no comorbidities. They don't care how much weight I lose between now and surgery day, they go off of my starting weight. You should be able to find the information that you're looking for, in the insurance company documentation.
