With you! I have been stuck for 5 days at the same weight. It's so demoralizing when I'm eating less than 400 calories per day most days. I had my husband hide the scale and have been focusing on getting my water in and walking. But there's always that "what if this is it?" In the back of my mind. I've sacrificed so much to have this surgery. I just want so badly for it to work.

August 24!

I eventually want plastic surgery so I appreciate reading you progress! I hope you feel better each day! -
Thanks! I feel a lot better after the IV. Not that I felt terrible...just a little more tired than normal. I'm also excited to have something other than liquids. I like your idea of applesauce in cream of wheat!

Same here! I go to bed water logged every night [emoji38]

At least you caught the low iron right now before it gets any worse! Way to go on the exercise and the weight loss!

Just checking in with the group! I'm 21 days post op today. I've lost 13 pounds since surgery and 30 pounds since my first appointment. I went for IV fluids today. I've been consistently getting 45 - 55 oz of fluids per day. I'm making an effort to get more fluid, but was feeling tired the last few days. I get to start purees on Wednesday! Has anyone tried Malt-O-Meal on the puree stage?

I'm so sorry you were having complications! At least they found out what it was and got you all fixed up!

You're going to do great!

I also have random single hiccups. I'm 20 days post op and have had them almost every day. I had a hiatal hernia repair. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I also had a pain on my left side and it popped one night and hurt for a few minutes and then went away. I think it was an anchoring stitch, but maybe that's what it is for you too?

I'm so happy to hear you're doing well and already hitting your goals!

Yay!

Dry round patches on body post op.
heartofmercury replied to Mphthegreat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My legs are super dry and I haven't been hitting my water goals either. I'm going to try to step up my water intake to see if that helps! -
Gas pains were terrible for me during the first two days. I had to use a heating pad for random pains for the next week for what I assumed were leftover gas pockets. I had my favorite shows ready to distract me and take my mind off of the pain. Sleeping was uncomfortable that first week. Day 6 or 7 it got much better for me. I'm post op 16 days now and there are still some things that suck: getting out of chairs, rolling over in my sleep, drinking too fast, and I get physically tired towards the end of the day. Take it a day at a time. I hope you start feeling a lot better very soon!

Wow! You're one of the lucky ones!

The weight loss feel so slow for me. However, when I step back and think about it, it's a lot faster than I could lose on my own. I'm post op day 15 and I've lost 12 pounds since surgery.

WHAT is this???
heartofmercury replied to SleeveToBypass2023's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm so sorry. I hope that its mild and they are able to treat it without too much trouble. -
@karakent, how are you feeling?

WHAT does religion have to do with me having surgery??????

That makes me so mad for you. Good for you for cutting those people out of your life. This change is so hard! They have no idea what they are talking about. Also, congrats on the 70 pounds lost! I think nothing can prepare you for the ugly things people say after you try to make yourself better. -
Nice! I may give it a try this weekend. Thanks!

I'm so jealous!!! Let me know how your new tummy tolerates it through the day. I want to drink coffee so badly but my doc says to wait 3 months after.
-
I'm sure he has his reasons for telling you that, but my doc said no working out for 6 weeks or until she clears me. I am supposed to be walking as much as I can comfortably. I've been trying to work up to 3 miles, but I don't walk fast and I take breaks when I need to. Maybe just start with walking a comfortable distance.

Sorry to hear about the rough ride home, but I'm happy you're on the other side of it.
-
So happy and excited for you!
-
Congrats! Walk when you can and take it easy the rest of the time!

My doc also does 30 days of liquid diet, but she's very smart and has a ton of successful patients so I'm ok with trekking through it.
