Anyone know of Dr De Bruyne Chris
mooster replied to susanlondon's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi Vanessa, The address I have for the Manchester office is:Regus Manchester Business Park,3000 Aviator Way Manchester M22 5TG I don't know if the "3000" is a room number or what! I've noticed that 1or2 people on this web-site have already been there so maybe they could let us know how easy (or difficult) it is to find?? All I know is, that it's adjacent to the air-port! Sorry I couldn't be any more help!:w00t: Kath. -

Hi Vanessa, just reading your earlier postings....I too am going for a fill in Manchester on 13/11! What time are you booked in for? I go @ 4pm (for my second fill), can't wait,as the first fill didn't give me much restriction! Maybe I'll see you there! Kath. -

Hi JudyC, I'm not trying to make your mind up for you but instead of reading that report in "The Mail" have a read of all the positive comments on this web-site about Dr Chris, and I'm sure they will change your mind! All the people on this site who have been banded can't be wrong about him....myself included!!! Take care ( and welcome to the web-site!) Kath. -

Hi EnglishRose, Glad to hear you've had your second fill, did you go to your local hospital again, or see Dr Chris? I guess you've reached that elusive "sweet spot", that everyone talks about? I have another 3 weeks to wait until I see Frederick in Manchester for my second fill. Can't wait as I've slowed right down to just 1 lb a week now. Still, can't complain, at least I'm still losing! Hi Eleonora, I was banded 11 weeks ago and I can still feel my port under the skin, so I guess it's one of those things we have to put up with! Considering all the benefits we get from the band, it's a small price to pay.....don't you agree? Kath. -

Hi Everyone, I'm attempting to send a picture of Dr De Bruyne that I took when I went for my first fill on Thursday. Thought it would satisfy people's curiosity that haven't met him yet! Here's hoping it sends! Kath. -

Hi Chrissy4, I was banded nearly 6 weeks ago by Dr De Bruyne, and am having my first fill this week . Like you I was very nervous, and only found this web-site the day before I left for Belgium. I would suggest reading as much as you can on this web-site, as you will find the answer to practically all your questions, as someone, somewhere has been through it all before, and everyone is very friendly, and willing to help! Regards, Kath. -

Hi Everhopeful, I too am going for my first fill on Sept 18th! What time are you going? I'm booked in for 3:20pm, which should give me plenty of time to travel down from near Manchester. What date did you have your band fitted, as you've done really well to lose 31 lbs? Maybe I'll see you down in London!!! Kath. -

Hi Chubster, I was banded by Dr Chris 3 weeks ago in Belgium. I think it's so cheap because he does so many of them ! Yes, you do go to his house, but you go round the side of the house where he has a waiting room. Feel free to ask any other questions.... Kath. -

Thanks Angie, for the website you gave earlier....I've just been on it and there's loads of good information on there! What a bummer!!!!! No-one told me you could wear your knickers during the operation!! Ah well, at least I won't have to look those people in the eye again, except when I go for fill's!:w00t:  Kath. -

Hi Naomi, The injections arn't too bad, you could do them yourself (if you're not frightened of them like I am)! In my case, I got my husband to do them. If you get someone to do them for you, as long as they inject them slowly you shouldn't feel anything! Kath.:biggrin2: -

Hi Flirtylass, I didn't really stick to a rigid diet for the 2 week's before surgery. I cut out obvious "fatty" things like chocolate  but that's about all! On the letter they gave me at the hospital it said on it that I had a slightly 'fatty liver', but that didn't stop them doing the surgery.Kath. -

Hi Naomi, I too was banded by Dr Chris in Belgium on August 6th. Just wanted to put your mind at rest that you really have nothing to worry about. I only found this website the night before I set off, and it really helped as, like you, I had doubts about whether it would work or not! I think if you've been overweight all your life, you do wonder if anything will work for you, but IT DOES! I've managed to lose 13lbs in just over 2 weeks ( not brilliant, but at least its coming off). Keep reading all the post's on here as there are some lovely people who will answer any questions or doubts you might have. AND Dr Chris and his team are all really nice, and will put you at ease!!! Take care, Kath.:biggrin: -

Hi Flirtylass, just wanted to say thankyou for letting me have the telephone number and email address for Frederik. (My husband kept the card that Frederik gave me, and has now managed to lose it!) Hmmm wonder was that intentional????Kath. -

Hi EnglishRose,Have you booked a date for your 1st fill yet? I've booked for Sept 18th in London,as it's the next available one, and I will have had my band for 6 weeks by then. Then,by the time I need my next fill, they will have hopefully opened their office's in Manchester, which they said they would be doing around Oct!Bye for now, Kath.:mad2::smile: -

Hi English Rose & Everhopeful, Just to say hello, and hope you are both feeling well after your recent surgery! I was banded just a week before you and still think it is the best thing I have ever done. Also wanted to wish Flirtylass & Bubble all the best for their up-coming surgeries. By the way Flirtylass, do you think you could let me have Frederik's email address & phone number as I've mislaid the card he gave me with them on? I'd be most grateful, if you could.:confused2: All the best, Kath.:mad2::huh2:  -
Hi, I've been reading the posts and I'm really confused! I've only been banded for a week so I'm still new to this, but can someone please tell me what the "sweet spot" is???? Kath.:confused2:

Hi Annika,Just been reading your posts, about your surgery......were you by any chance staying at the Campanile Hotel, as I was there up until Sat morning? Just asking because in the restaurant I heard some women wishing another girl "good luck for tomorrow" on the Thurs night? Just a little curious about whether it could have been you. Glad to hear you are feeling better after all your problems. Kath.:confused2:

Hi Roheryn, Thanks for those rather gory details......really glad I didn't read that before I went!!! Mind you, saying that, my surgeon did have very small hands which is some consulation I suppose!!!:whatchutalkingabout Kath.

Hi Bubble, yes I did get the other injections from my Dr. They cant give you the exact ones as they dont do them in Britain, and the pharmacy may have to order them for you, as mine had to do. Hope that helps? Kath.:whatchutalkingabout -

Hi Bubble, Don't worry too much about the injections as it's a case of grabbing a roll of fat (very easy in my case!!!) and injecting into the fat (which I also have plenty of!!!). As for going on your own I'm sure you will meet at least 1 other person at the hotel, as I did! Kath. :wink2: -

Hi Bubble, Personally, I wouldnt like to go back to work just 6 days after the surgery, but then again everyone is different. Yes you do have to inject yourself, but luckily my husband isn't as queasy with needles as I am, and he has been doing it for me since I left the hospital! Kath.:wink2:
