There are some negatives aspect of the Band but the positives weight out the Negatives. Every time you step on that scale and you see a lower number gives you the strength to fight for your dream. A dream to be healthy, look better in cloths. So far I wouldn't change my decision to get the band it was well worth it.:confused:

Well i 2 had Aetna and they need to see that you are trying to lose. I lost like 7 pounds on that 3 month diet. I think the most important thing that you can do Is make the changes as you go. If you drink a lot of soda start dring Chrsytal light. You know start controling the amount you eat. Because real talk if your surgent is like mine he gave me a little fill when he put my band in and I cant eat nothing that I use to eat. I went from downing 3 to 4 pork chops to eating 1 at the most. Let fired food and fast food go trust you wont miss it. It's a long journey bro and you are making a good choice on taking control of your life. remember the band aint some magical wond that makes the weight go away. Its your hard work and your drive with the help of the band that will keep you in line lol. Good Luck.

OMG I had surgery this month on 12-18-09 and have lost 40 pounds. I 'm so happy I have always been than overweight kid and I just want to live normally and not let this weight hold me back. I know I have a long way to go and I still do crave those fatty foods but getting on that scale makes it so much worth not eating them. I get my first fill on 01/18/10 come on all lets push thru to a happier healthier life. Love You All. Jon:rolleyes:

Thanks for the support all everything is still going well on my end. I have my first fill on Monday the 18th. Having the band is a real change my doctor put a lil fluid in my band when I had the surgery and what I use to be able to eat I no longer can. You know I really don't miss it. I join the gym at my job and I work out now 5 times a week. I will keep you all posted on everything that's going on I will be weighing in again on the 18th again also. Good Luck on your journey.

OMG I too was banded on Dec 18th. I have not had any gas pains but this gas is no joke i drink water its time to clear the room. TMI sorry lol...... I too am hungry I so cant wait to have real food on Jan 7th i start mushes on Monday. Lets stay strong.

Well all I'm Officially Banded. I had my surgery Friday the 18th at 12:00Pm everything went well my Sergent said I did great with the liquid diet. I was so nervous about having the surgery until I got that cocktail from the anesthesiologist I woke up in recovery at 2:05pm . I have pain at my port site it only hurts when I breathe to deep and cough. Good luck to everyone getting the Band.

Well tomorrow is the big day for me also. I have to be at the hospital a 8:00am surgery is at 10am. I'm kind of nervous but I have put everything in Gods hands and I'm ready to make this change in my life. I will be praying for you all being banded tomorrow and the rest of the December Bandsters. I have my Pre-Op appointment with Dr.Felts tomorrow. Then Friday is the big day. Have to be at the hspital at 10:30am Kinda starting to get nervous.

Hello all I am on day 5 of my liquid diet 800 cal. This is harder then I thought but I have not strayed from it I so wanted to run in churches and get me a 2 piece but I know that would defeat the purpose of what I want to achieve. I guess I just wanted to vent for a min. Question is anyone eles drinking the Atkins PreMixes Protein Shake.

My band date is Dec 18. I am so excited and ready to start this new chapter in my life.

Hey tallnthyckldy77 I'm being banded on the 18th too. I started the liquid diet yesterday this Atkins Pre-mixed shake is so nasty.:wink2: Its will power that is getting me thru this and the goal I want to achieve. tallnthyckldy77 where will you be having your surgery at.

Just got the call today that my date is Dec 18th I'm so excited but kind of nervous. This is what I have been waiting for. I start my Pre Op diet tomorrow. Lets do this.:tongue2:

I am so happy that words cant explain. I am still waiting on the Lap Band Center to call me to give me my surgery day. I feel like this is a new beginning for me. I want to thank you all for giving me your words of encouragement and answering a lot of my question. Trust there are many more question to be answered LOL. Wow I taught Aetna was going to be trouble from the post I have been reading. I guess I gave them all the info they need the first time around, whatever it was I am so Happy. Well I went thru Lap Band Solutions here in Dallas Texas, I did my weight lost supervision with them and went thru Dr. Grimm for my nutrionist visit. The hardest part was coming up with my weights for the last 2 years, because I didn't really go to the doctor much.Anything eles you want to know hit me up.
