Checking in on everyone. How are you guys doing after surgery? I made the mistake of ignoring my body’s full signals yesterday and ended up making myself sick. Lesson learned!!! I had surgery on 9/13 and am down 20 lbs.

I’m scheduled for surgery on September 13th. Once I finish the diet sodas in my pantry I am cutting myself off for good. I am going to have to find more ways to get water in because I am terrible about drinking water.

I am just beginning my journey too. I have my initial appointment scheduled for July 13. I am nervous too. It is a big decision and one you should not take lightly. I am happy to be here on these forums and being able to see how each person is navigating their journey. Maybe have a talk with a counselor to help you figure out if you are ready to move forward.

Good Afternoon, I am new here. Today I submitted paperwork to a bariatric surgeon to discuss getting a gastric sleeve. My doctor and I met today to officially get his blessing as my current weight loss has stalled out. I just can't get over the hump. I've lost almost 40 lbs over the past year with diet and exercise but I just can't get any further. I have diabetes, knee pain, and I am not as young as I used to be. Looking forward to meeting other folks in various stages of the same journey. I'd love any tips, tricks, good vibes, etc. as I navigate this whole process.

I talked to insurance today and it appears they will cover it. I am on medicaid currently so I believe so long as I fit into their parameters it will work out that they pay.
