This is awesome! You are my surgery twin! I'm doing well as well...lots of compliments! I want to try Pro-t. Is it Pro-t gold? I haven't tried lettuce as yet, I think I will now. I find that my taste buds have rejected most of the food I used to love and crave. My sweet tooth is gone - which is good.

Hello everyone! I am 6 weeks post sleeve - I got sleeved July 8th, and I'm thrilled to report that I have now joined the great 100s Club! I have lost 42 pounds so far - I did not lose any pre op, in fact, I gained! I can't say that all has been perfect because I do have my days when I miss and crave foods that I shouldn't be eating and I do sneak a little in here and there, but I keep it all down! No stomach issues! I can't wait to start eating salads - week 8, I think! Happy journey, all!

Hi everyone! So today I went to my 1 month post op doctor's visit. My labs were impressive - thank goodness, as I was worried. I have lost 32 pounds since surgery 6/8/22. I did not lose any weight pre op, in fact I gained as I enjoyed a "last hurrah" eat fest. I was cleared for all gym workouts! Yaaaay! Also, no more protein shakes as I now need to eat food rich in protein. I am also on a regular high protein low carbs diet - 3 meals daily. I am honestly worried about this as my taste buds have changed, I'm never hungry, and even when I try to eat, I get full after 2 or 3 bits. This surgery has completely changed my relationship with food. There are times when I think of enjoying a large bowl of pasta and chicken parmesan and feel sad, but that feeling is short lived when I look in the mirror or get on the scale and can say, the sacrifice was worth it. We can all do this!

Congratulations! That is awesome. I can identify with that feeling. I am also a daily weigher....not good , I know. I am anxiously awaiting my journey back to the 1s, hopefully that will be in a couple weeks. I want to be in that category by my daughter's wedding which will be on the 31st. There's this sexy dress I want to wear, so far, it almost fits as I'm shedding a lot of inches.

I didn't really have pain, just discomfort No pain from incisions.

It's the best decision I have ever made. I'm presently 24 pounds down and counting. I have so much energy, it's amazing!

I'm so sorry to hear of this. Do not give up as everyone's experie b ce is different. Have you tried walking? Walking helped me a little in my early days after GS and hernia repair - especially those shoulder, chest and neck pains. Try to walk as much as possible. Start with 10 minute walks then increase it gradually. This helps, trust me. You will slso see the pounds falling. Drink water, and walk.

Hi everyone! I had my gastric sleeve surgery as well as hiatal hernia repair done on June 8, 2022 and I must say, I have never felt healthier! The pounds are dropping and my energy keeps rising. Since my surgery, my BP readings have constantly been normal and I have even noticed a positive change with my vision. I have not had any complications since surgery. My abdominal gas discomfort is gone. My only discomfort, which is very rare, is at my shoulder as a result of some of the gas that is still lodged under my diaphragm. I have had no vomiting or diarrhea, in fact my bm is actually regular and normal. I can't wait to see my surgeon on Tuesday for my post op visit so he can give me clearance to go to the gym. I have been on liquid diet although I sneak in bits of soft food every now and then - my stomach tolerates it. I also walk for 45 minutes to an hour twice daily. I must say, this is the best decision I have made in my life!

Thanks so much for this informative post. Drinking water first thing in the morning does make a difference. I do not drink flavored water - never have, but I drink water with electrolytes such as Propel. I am in the habit of checking my urine, as this is usually the first sign that your body is dehydrated. As soon as I notice it's not as clear as it should be, I up my water intake.

For the first few days all I had (and you will need) was water, jello, and clear broth. Actually, your clear liquid 2-day pre op diet continues that first week. Week 2 you can introduce protein shake, yogurt etc as you will be on a liquid diet. I'm still on my clear liquid and can't wait for Thursday to have yogurt.

I have had 2 since my surgery which was on June 8th. My only issue right now is gas which is slowly subsiding.

How are the chest pains when swallowing as a result of the h hernia repair? That's the biggest pain/ discomfort I have. I also had h hernia repair as well as g sleeve. Everything went smoothly for me. My surgery was at 8am and I was back home before 12pm.

I am concerned because I did both h hernia and sleeve o. 6/8. No pain or vomiting. My only issue since Wednesday is some pain and discomfort in my chest when or after I swallow. Did you have that issue and how long did it last?
