I would get the clear protein waters and sugar free Popsicles and sugar free jello I liked the chicken soup and strained out the stuff out because you can taste the stuff in it. The clear liquid part of the diet is easier if you have a variety. I had the bypass last December I'm not sure how long you are on the clear diet is for the sleeve also maybe something to make ice or Popsicles with protein water Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

How far out are? Can you eat regular or soft foods yet? Any way I'm 8 months out I don't see an issue with beef stew or a bit of rice my surgeon said have more protein than carbs in a meal and fruits and vegetables with carbs don't count against you. Not to mention if you deny yourself everything it makes it harder find alternatives on somethings eat small portions of others. It's not an easy path and everyone handles it differently. All I can say is do you. Your feelings are yours real and should be acknowledged. Hope you feel better and it works out for you Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

So I hang up my clothes and with t-shirts I need the hangers with the slots to keep them on the hangers not it always worked. But I don't need those slotted hangers anymore because they are small enough to fit the hanger Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

Doubting Whether I Should Proceed
Tami10 replied to djhobbes's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First I'll say I was lurking in the shadows for a while before posting anything also. I would like to start with you started this journey for a reason and if that reason is still there I would stay with it. It will get tough especially the first couple of months but so worth it. My mom was worried about it because she knew a couple of people who the surgery and went the other getting to skinny and looking sucked in. But I'm doing good right now and glad I did it. Though I was upset in the beginning because of sever complications. But with all that I would do it again. Do what you feel is right for you. Congratulations on taking the first steps of this journey and hope you find what is best for you Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app -
I would think so. I called to see if my insurance covered it. But not to see if it was approved after. But if you are worried it's not going to hurt anything to call Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm in California and my insurance covered it just had to pay copay. Had to jump through but I'm surprised that a lot of insurances don't cover it because when I was looking at insurances when we could change all the ones I was looking at covered it Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Cake, ice cream, pizza…farewell forever?
Tami10 replied to Rockmantic78's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm not sure if I have bumping syndrome or not but am to scared to really find out but I don't limit what I eat just how much and what kind. I was told 9 grams of sugar per meal. I think if you take everything you like you won't be as successful at least I wouldn't. I eat bread just not a lot I eat pizza just not a lot I eat ice cream just eat the bryers carb smart. I made cake and cookies with monk fruit sugar instead. I found sugar free cookies. And I think I'm doing good it's been 8 months since my bypass surgery and I'm down a 116lb and have 14 left to go. You're right not everyone is embarrassed my point was that no one person on this journey should fell bad, embarrassed or worried about other people. And feel good about yourself and your decision. I've talked to a few people who had thought about it but were worried about their family and friends reaction including my best friend. Sent from my SM-A716U using BariatricPal mobile app

I vaped before surgery and had to quit prior which I did my surgeon said 8 weeks of no nicotine before but I read it takes 4 weeks had to have a negitive nicotine test before my date I will say that the good part of vaping over smoking is you change the nicotine level when I started the journey I was at a nicotine level of 6 and after my first appointment and when the bottle was empty I switched to 3 and when I got my date I switched to 0 which helped with the giving up and dosent show nicotine test because there is none. Sorry this happened my team made it very clear no nicotine and they would test for it and if I had it they would cancel it. Hope you don't get discouraged stay strong just another bump in the road it will work out. But I would switch to 0 nicotine level as soon as possible also I washed my tankard put in a new coil.
