I'm 58 years old, had band in 2008 and lost 50 lbs. But then band got too tight, had to have it completely emptied, and after that it never worked again (despite multiple fills). Also, was getting intermittent abdominal pain, I think from the intra-abdominal tubing (since I never had it again after band removed!). Had band removed in 2015. Since then have gained about 80 lbs and currently the heaviest I've ever been. Now planning on having sleeve in 2019.
