Did they put a nausea patch behind your ear? That can cause some blurriness. It cleared up for me pretty quickly after I took it off.

I had surgery Tuesday morning and for the most part feel pretty good. However, any time I take a sip of anything (water, Gatorade zero, protein shake) a few minutes later I feel a rolling pain from my lower abdomen up towards my chest. Is this still gas? Is this the sleeve? I am taking omperozole prescribed for reflux but no other pain meds. Just trying to decide if I keep pushing the fluid or wait till this pain goes away.

I was a little worried about mine as well, but the doctor just asked some general life questions. Some questions about life history and about the anxiety I have. Once we discussed how my anxiety is being controlled and what my goals were. After that he assured me that things would be great and was super supportive.

I appreciate all of the replies. I know that I will eat food again, my post was more of a day 10 pre op diet mental temper tantrum. It feels so close yet so far away!

Dramatic I know….I am on day 9 of the pre op diet and I am mentally struggling. I had my last pre op appt today with the surgeon. Am all set for surgery next Tuesday. I’m not even physically hungry but my brain is playing stupid tricks. I think I am just tired of broth, protein shakes, veggies….the things keeping me going are sugar free popsicles and jello 😂

I am scheduled for May 10. Currently on day 6 of my pre op diet…..just counting the days!
