My surgery got rescheduled from 10/25 to 11/23. I'll be having RNY.

I'm scheduled for RNY on 10/25! My preop appointment got moved from 10/11 to 10/19. I'm supposed to start my liquid diet on 10/21, but I'm going to call Monday and see if they want me to start it sooner because my BMI is so high.

Are there any 25 to 35 year olds on here?

I started my 6 month supervised diet with my PCP back in November and finished that mid-April. I had my first appointment at my surgeon's office 5/10. I went to my endoscopy pre-op appointment on 7/1 and mentioned I still needed to speak with the psychologist. They got in contact with him and he called me that afternoon. After a brief conversation, he said I passed and it sounded like I was ready for this. So now I have my endoscopy on Friday and within two weeks or so after that they should hopefully call me with a surgery date. I'm so excited. It's getting real! A small part of me is a little bummed though because on Saturday my captain told me he would be moving me back into the control room soon on a certain sergeants off days so now that's going to happen and then I'm going to turn around and be out for four weeks! I know Cap will work with me and knows why I'll be out, but I hate to inconvenience him too and I LOVE running the control room. It'll be worth it in the end though! I'm getting closer to being able to get a surgery date! My dr's office called the other date and got me scheduled for my upper endoscopy which is one of the last things needed before I get my date. I have a pre-op appointment on 7/1 and then my endoscopy is on 7/8. I'm still waiting on the psychologist to call me back this week for my evaluation with them which is a phone appointment. It was supposed to be on 6/16 but they haven't called yet. After my endoscopy they will submit to my insurance for approval and a week or two after that I should get a date!!! -

How long are you missing work?
K9Mando replied to SleeveToBypass2023's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
How long after surgery until all restrictions are lifted? I'm looking at having gastric bypass but I'm a correctional officer and am not allowed to return to work with any kind of restrictions whatsoever ((lifting, etc)). I'll ask my surgeon next week, but I'm genuinely curious on what to expect. Fortunately I have the luxury of taking off whatever time I need as my husband has plenty of sick leave he can donate to me when I exhaust all of my own leave hours, but I don't know what I'll do with myself if I'm facing being at home for a month, lol.
