I had my labband surgery One year ago. I started at 220.. and now I am holding at 185ish. I have dropped from a size 18 to a very loose 14. I realize that my weight loss isn't as good as most posted here. I guess the reason I am blogging today is that I am a little discouraged. I expected greater weight loss. I believe that most of the reason that I am not losing is because I dont' eat eno.ugh and I am not doing the exercize I should be doing. But today I am vowing to have a much better second year. I feel the need to become a success story . I want it , so i have to work for it. i gues enough of my babbling..i will return with an update soon. tata:blink:

Hello everyone, got my first fill today...painless really. She put in 2 cc . The surgen didnt put any in. She said prob. wont fell musch different. I sure hope so. I'm not really liking the hungries. Lost another 3 lbs o i gotta be gappy for that. heading for my first milestone (4 lbs) hopefully on my next fill on dec. 3. Hope to see some of you at the convention. Sherri:thumbup:

Does anyone feel a good restriction from their first fill..I had such hight expectations..first fill tomorrow

hello everyone...i go for my first fill tomorrow. i was hoping that the fill was going to take my hunger away but doesnt soud like it....awww....I can eat anything i want except chicken. but i mean anything i am tyring really hard to be good. i will post tomorrow on my weight loss progress. my scales broke...haha..i hope things go better after fill...:thumbdown:

Hello, I would love to attend and meet the people i read everyday. I live in upstate ny so it would be about a four hr drive. not to bad. I try to get to the city once a year with my girlies. (bus trips) But i would need time to save up the money sooo please get info. out as soon as possible. as for NJ or NY i would prefer NYC never stayed in the city. but either. Hi everyone I was banded Oct 17th..I lost weight pretty good the first week but now i seem to be at a stall..I get my first fill Nov. 14th. I hope it helps. I am still hungry and halloween was tough I like candy...The only things that seem to bother me are chicken and any bread. I haven't weighed myself since i went to dr. but everything still feels the same. I joined the gym have gone three times times this week doing 15 minutes on the bike and 15 minutes on the eliptical, then doing some arm machines and a few floor. About an hr a night maybe a little more. But on my other days I have been raking leaves (uuugghhh). I really hope i start losing weight because I am getting so frustrated. and hungry I think if i could stand being hungry I wouldnt have ended up being so overweight..well thanks for your time..Sherri:ohmy:

It truly amazes me on all the differences between the length of the hospitial stay and the diets.One would think that there would be some uniformity being they are all the same surgerys. Didnt all theses dr.s learn the same thing when the lapband was released. I was sent home 2hrs after surgery with a script for liquid pain killers. Dont get me wrong i wanted to come home and sleep in my own bed. I am trying real hard staying true to my diet. But I also feel hungry at night (which is a big reason why i am so over weight). But getting the lapband didnt do anything for my stress and I am a stress eater. My daughter moved in with her to kids I now have 5 kids 6yrs to 5months. and she decides to go on a cruise. See the stress.. On an upward note I am losing weight and feeling much better. My daughter told me ur getting pretty big momma.. (i think its a compliment lol). The best thing for me is Be happy and "life is what YOU make it" as my mom always says. So peeps lets be happy and celebrate that we are smashing pumpkins!!!!!!!

Hello oct. bansters. I was banded Oct. 17th. I am feeling great no pain. but really sick of broth..I wont eat that any more. I was wondering about the protien. I drink two protien shakes a day and then have protien for each meal. Should i also be adding more? Also i am drinking a lot but not much water..do you think that this wil amke a difference? Hi everyone went to my 1 week post op today...I lost 11 lbs...Yeah me . I am sooo excited. i dont go see my dr for three more weeks then they are putting in my first fill. I am feeling real good no pain. But very very tired. One thing I wanted to pass went to nature store and bought "liquid Chlorophyll" works wonders on gas and gas pains. Just put a squirt in a glass of water. its has a faint taste of mint...Try it it works great.

Hello everyone...Ihad my sugery last friday. I am feeling pretty good. I go for my follow up tomorrow. I think I have lost about 15 pounds. I am really really tired and my family says that around my eyes I look exusted. Is this being so tired normal? all my aches and pains are almost gone and eating (drinking) seems to be ok for now. I get to east some soft food tomorrow yehaw!! one more thing I want a ticker too any help out there?? well take care. newgrama (sherri)

Hi had my surgery friday at 1 30.. came home at 4 30. Been ok till today . Gas pains terrible any help out there. I have been walking.

leaving for surgery......Happy happy....I will check in in a few hrs. should be home around 5 30ish...

So Tomorrow at 1:00 I am going to have my surgery. I am soooo excited...not scared at all. Hopeing that all goes well for me and all of you pumpkins. I will post tomorrow when I get home. no over night for me..not sure why but i am out patient. but no complaints here. I am one of the lucky ones... as are all of us.

Hello , So only five more days for me. I guess im getting a little obsessive all i think about is this sugery..me me me....A little different than before i started this process.. I was wondering what is the pain level the next day? And how long before taking baths...i love to soak in my old claw foot at night. One more how long before starting to work out? i am going to be more dedicated this time. I paid for a year at the gym. and ready to restart and reclaime my life. I love reding the posts here it has answered sooooo many of my questions...Thanks everybody!! Be happy!!

Hello Oct. Bandster. My date oct 17th. So excited to start this journey. I was shocked to hear that many of you have to be on a special diet before. my diet starts at midnight. Also I don't spend the night. I go in at 1:00 pm and will be on my way home around five(if all goes well). So good luck. look forward to reading all the success stories.

Hi, I have my surgery the 17 of oct. and it is an out patient surgery. I will only stay a couple hrs then be sent home.. hope this helps with your decision

Well after a long haul I just recieved my surgery date. Oct. 17 at 1pm...real excited and real nervous. I was surprised that this was in and out..I thought I would have to spend the night. most support meetings were all bypasses so many questions were not answered. My surgery is being done in syracuse with Dr. simon. anyone here have him? thanks

Hi there, i am a mother of five as of now i do day care in my home:whatchutalkingabout. I finally got approved frm my insurance company. So it all a go. Real real nervous. But also excited and impatient. its along time comming. any good hins on getting prepared for the surgery?
