I have BCBS of IL. I just got approved Thursday. I do not have any co morbidities. I am over a 40bmi and I have over 5 yrs of obesity. I did the 6mth diet.

I'm so excited! I was really worried. I just turned 40. eek, but what a great gift. Ok, in reality, I didn't think they would, but I've been reading everything I can find. I think I'm a quantity eater, I just don't stop when I need to and I don't feel full. I'm worried about this. Plus I'm rather picky and that puts a fear in me. I want to succeed, and I know it takes work. My biggest fear is that I will fail like I usually do. I've been gung ho obviously in the past and then bam. I wish I could figure it out totally. I know this is a tool. Is it an AWESOME tool and will it really help me? I just want HELP, I know it doesn't do it for you. I guess I want a guarantee that it will really help me. I don't think it exists.

I'm going to Dr. Rohrscheib too. ( I practice spelling his name..lol) I finished the 6 mth diet and am praying I get insurance approval. Although I'm worried I won't. Hopefully it won't take long. Did you finance through him? or Did you just get your own loan, or cash? that is my next option.

Look what my thread started, all these Illinois banders!! After reading a lot on here, I start seeing what I do as an eater. I think the biggest thing the band can do for me is hopefully stop this non full feeling or satiety. I eat way too much food. I think when I got married I ate to keep up. So stupid. ugh.

medicine can you use after the band? I have painful knees and get back pain. After you have the band are you unable to have Advil? I know I've read this somewhere and I can't find it. Any ideas? Or links?

Mothers! what can you do. I'm assuming she's extremely jealous and I have also found with my mother that as she ages she becomes more self centered. she seems to be pretty self absorbed and having issues. I'd sit down with her and have a heart to heart. Use "I" words. I feel.... when you say that I feel... Good luck.

I am not banded yet, but I'm assuming as soon as your dr. allows you to exercise, you should just start back doing the low impact routines. I'm not sure about the floor work though? Interesting thing to ask though!
