The above is not going to burn extra calories. Start walking and walk FAST, I was banded on Aug 14th and Im up to 3mils a day, I focus on walking as fast as I can. Im now down 25lbs this might not be the norm, but Im sure my fast walking is fuling a big part of my lost. This band is only tool , and like other parts of life you will only get out of it what you put into it. Using the band and burning extra calories will get you the results you are looking for!!! Hello I was banded on the 14th and have never felt any kind of pulling, I would call my Dr if I were you.

Well its only been two weeks for me but Im starting to feel normal, the cool thing for me is now I eat just a time bit of food and I feel full, and not hungry all the time, so I guess I dont feel normal, normal for me was alway hungry. Dont worry about it, get it done and get healthy.

I quit smoking two months before getting banded, so far its been easy. I had felt a lot of guilt from smoking for the last few years, knowing how bad it was for me. Last thing I wanted was to get banded and still be smoking.

Baby Oil cool!!! Oh and by the way I guess I lucked out there were no bandages for me, or stitches, they just GLUED me shut, I was banded on the 14 and the wounds are looking great.

What do you all mean the stomach swells??? What would cause this?

Just curious how could you expect anything to work better then what has worked for you? You have lost 122lbs in 6 months. Cant agree more, as with anything in life its what you make it!!! I would say there are two reasons for that: 1) TIME, they have only been in the US for a year and a half. 2) Numbers, there are only a small % of people with the Realize Band compared to Lap Band, I would think this is the reason you hear of more failures with the Lap Band.

Wow Paula sorry to hear you are starving, I too was banded on the 14th and have not felt hungry at all. I will says I feel a little rundown Im sure from so few carbs or Protein, Here is what I have been eating/drinking: one little serving of Jello sugar free Sipping a mix of Water and clear juices all day, about 80 to 90oz worth. and three servings of chicken or beef broth. So I guess Im lucky not be hungry, but I will say I cant wait to taste other things, when I hit the next stage. Remember it will all be worth it so just hang in there, and drink more water

Dam this took over an hour to read through and I have to say you all are GREAT, I know for some its tuff talking like this in an open forum with strangers. Hello All, I was banded on 8/14/08, the question I have is should you feel every drink you take? Im on clear liquids and I can feel evey drink I take, when I say feel it I mean I can feel it at the band site, its kind of like a full filling, I am able to cuntiune drinking and at times can even hear a little gurgling sound. Now none of this is causing me any stress or pain I was just wondering if you all experienced these types of things. Thanks EVERYONE for being here!!!

Strange you say that, for me the problem has been I see myself as a thin person lol yes I know its strange. Go see your doc, you should not be haiving reflux!!! Thanks all for your replies and please keep them coming.

So I have been spying on all ya fat people and thought its time to join in on the fun! So for me I have been fat for the last 20 years, its strange when I look in the mirror I see just a sexy thin guy and its just always been that way. But my body is starting to tell me what my eyes wont and that is its time to get healthy, so I have been approved and will be having my band installed the not this week but next. Im so looking forward to my back, knees, feet and neck not hurting all the time, looking forward to just feeling good. Well I just thougth I would post say hello to y’all and let ya know I’m happy you are here Im sure I will need you at some point and hopfully some day be there to help someone else. :biggrin2:
