Just wanted to see if I had any surgery twins out there? I had surgery in April 11th.
-
It’s okay I understand I hope you feel better. I think my craving are more Im ready to just eat normally. Like have meat, veg, and starch on my plate and not just protein. I’m tired of just eating the same things. I like to cook and try different recipes and this diet is limiting me.

Is anyone having trouble with their 2 week liquid diet post op? Certain liquids feel like rocks in my stomach mostly the protein shakes. Any advice

I’m on purée right now my surgery was 4/11 and I still want to chew. It hasn’t eased up for me. Just take it one day at a time. I find it helpful to talk it out because it gets the best of me some days more than other days. I didn’t realize how emotional this journey would be but you learn that you’re stronger than food and the urges that you have. But you got this and if you ever need a cheerleader I’m here for you.

I’m having so much trouble with noticing before hand that I’m getting full. By the time I realize I’m full I’m hurting and just feeling miserable. I’m not consuming a full 4 oz of food at times and I haven’t noticed any signs that tells me I’m full or near full other than pain. Any one having this problem or any suggestions?

How to tell when you’re near full

Thank you so much for your advice and information I have been cutting back and just taking it slow. I set a timer for 2 minutes between bites and I’ve now noticed that I’ve had enough when I start to burp. Taking it slow really helped me. -

After like 4 bites of food I’m hurting and about to vomit because I’m so stuffed. It really makes me want to cry at times. -

Thank you, I’m almost 3 weeks out so maybe that’s why I can only tolerate a small amount. It’s so frustrating though. -
So I wanted to see what kind of recipes or dishes everyone has been making and eating post surgery. I like to cook and would like some ideas on low carb high protein meals. Hopefully I can get the whole household on board if I make it appealing and delicious. All ideas are welcome. Thank you in advance 😁

I love this idea because I don’t want to deprive the rest of the family because I’m not able to eat what they can. This way we are all eating the same just in a different way. Thank you!

This looks sooo yummy can’t wait to get to this phase.
-
Thank you so much this is heaven sent. I checked it out and instantly fell in love thank you again.
-
That is actually the phase I’m in right now. I guess I’m just getting all excited about cooking again soon lol. I’m having withdrawals from actually chewing food.
-
I will definitely be purchasing some myself. I’m just such a picky eater I’d probably only like 3 meals from a 50 page cookbook.

Tuna is not my friend anymore. I tried it on while on my purée diet and my stomach was in knots. Pretty mad about it because I love Tuna.

We’re almost twins. How are you handling your diets? Are you feeling any hunger or cravings?
-
Thank you so much!

I just got off the phone with my nutritionist which has been trying to help me as well. With you guys help and my nutritionist I mixed the water and protein shake and it made it much better and I also did a fat free milk and premier protein mix that also seems to go down smoothly. I thank you all because I started out a little rough in the hospital I had a 3 night stay I was vomiting everything that entered me. It means a lot to me that you all responded. I’m an emotional person sorry lol.

@Tony B- NJ thank you very much I will definitely look into that. && @ Kcuster83 I’ve tried the milk and it gave me the same results. I will try using water to make it thinner because I am able to hold water and Gatorade zero down.
