Hello All, I had my surgery on May 9th 2006. I have the Vanguard band. I went to my six week check up and lost 38 lbs . I have never felt any restriction:angry . The doctor gave me a 3cc fill. Still I do not have any restriction. Does it usually take some time for the fill to kick in:confused: ? My real question is that I am going again to get a check up / fill on July 20th. As I have to fly to the United States for this I am wondering, if the fill does not kick in when I get it , will it be good to stay a couple of extra days and then let the doctor give me another maybe on the 23 or so:confused: ? The reason is all the traveling and no restriction seems to be a waste of time. How soon after a fill is it safe to get another fill? By the way I have been hungry most of the day and refuse to cheat and eat something that I should not:D . Thanks for all feedback..

Hello, I flew 3 days after my surgery and usually fly the next day after a fill. But it might be smart to stay an extra day or two before flying to Egypt. I went to Cuba the day afetr a fill for three weeks and was not able to hold down to much food. I PB a couple of times. So take your time after a fill before going on a vacation for a few weeks. The first fill to me did not give me any restriction at all. But there is a proper process for fill and I hope your doctor follows the proper protocol from the manufacturer...a little fill at a time..... Besos

Hey All, I had my third fill of 1.0 cc on Thursday. This was not as painfull as all of the others. I am now with 7.00 cc in my Vanguard band. I have lost 78lbs since May 9th, 2006. I can tell that I have a better restriction as I had a couple of really bad PBs and slimming over the weekend. Bread is a no no for me. I have moved myself to soups and amost mushies for the next few days as the session with the pb's have made me a liitle sore in my chest. I hope this fill will be my last for many months. I want to lose and get down a total of 100lbs by the New Year....I know I can do it....Just keep on pushing and eating properly...

I burp also...but it is really is low in volume....I wonder what the burp is trying to tell me??

I never feel any difference from morning or evening. I also know I gulp down water with no problem...I think I need more restriction. I also have not lost any weight in two weeks.

hey Boston, I had my surgery there. I do not liv ein the area but I have to go there for fills every few weeks...I might be back there in 3 weeks...

Marz 88, I can eat 2-3+ cups without any problem. I wonder what amount we should eat to be at the optimal fill level? Anyone know?

Terisita, Everything is more visisble and appears to be getting bigger in some places and it seems to be getting a good reception from all... I am looking at the calendar figuring when I should go and get my next fill. Maybe to the states in 3 weeks...If I do not lose 2 more pounds by the end of next week I will go the first week in October....

Totally naked first thing in the morning. One thing as a man doing it naked first thing you have to move other body parts as you wake up at attention..lol

Hey all, I have the Vanaguatrd band and have had 2 fills. the first was 3 cc and the second was 3 cc so I have a total of 6cc. I really only fill the restriction when I eat to fast or something that does not agree with the band. I think I am about due for another fill. I have lost 71 pounds since May 9th, 2006 . I can eat and not fill the restriction. Maybe I stop eating before it gets filled? I am showing good discipline right not to watch what I am eating. Also I do not use big plates. i use the little plate and never reload my food. That smaller plate is a good tool to control food intake also.... How much do you all eat and fill restriction? I have no idea... Thanks...

Hey All, I see everyone has been progressing accordingly. I have been traveling all around the world for work and pleasure and now I am back for a few weeks. I am down for the 20 lb Thanksgiving challenge. I will start to do an extra push today. How is everyone doing ?

Funny, I have to say that out of all of the men I know about 80 percent cheat on thier wives. So ladies do not be fooled. Most men will cheat if the opportunity knocks!!!

Funny Duddies, I truly respect your opinions but I think your are wrong. I do not think faith will have to do with it. Men will cheat no matter of thier religious beliefs. You can always look at the current news and see ministers and priest cheating, lying and stealing. So let's not go that route. I am always open on this board and honest. Any man that would get out of a 35 year marriage and marry two weeks later to another is a fool and p@@@y whipped!!!

Hello, I have the Vanguard band also and my first fill was 3 cc and I do not have any restriction. After reading everyone elses fill amounts I went to the manufactures information. The first fill for a Vangurad band should be 3cc and after 4-6 weeeks the second fill can be done with about 1.5 cc depending on how your weight loss is going. Check it out !!http://www.allerganandinamed.com/pdf/health/94800-12_LB_Product_Data_Sheet.pdf#search='vanguard%20lap%20band' The fills are done as a direct result of your weight loss. If you are losing 2 lbs per week then the doctor should not give you an adjustment until the weight loss goes under 2 lbs per week. This also goes with the amount of food your eating etc.... Cool..

Hello, I was with a woman who is banded and she said she now has more control of her sucking and feels she can control her throat better. She also says the swallowing has been harder with me. I really think all the protein I am eating is increasing my sperm count and consitency. Have the men in here noticed that the more protein the longer you flow with sperm? Peace

Thanks Moma for the words of wisdom and encouragement. It seems That I had 3cc put in and that was on about June 20th. I plan on the next fill on July 20th. I am really hoping I get some restriction on this one. I thank you for your kind comments on the weight loss but it has been a hard and hungry road. I have been watching evrything I eat. I drink a helluva a lot of Crystal Light these days. I want to lose about 25 more pounds before I travel on the 3rd of August to Cuba. I travel often also and I can feel the difference in the seats and seat belts on the plane. Before I would just not use the seat belts but now they are closing...Thanks once again and keepme posted on the trip to Spain. I will be in Barcelona on the 25 of July for business.
