That is great news..... Keep up the good work. I want to tie my shoes with ease one day. Or wear socks that do not cut off my circulation..Weight loss for me will be alot of advantages. I think wearing a tie that does not look like a childs will be something to celebrate!!!

Hey, I am soooooo happy for you. I have my papers into the insurance also. It has been two weeks now. IThey are leaning more for the bypass they the lap band. They are doing some research themselves on this procedure... But I have my own funds to get it done one way or the other.

Sleepy Jean and the Mayers, It seems you are the first of us in May. How are you mentally? Have you been eating like it is your last meal? Are you doing any exercise? What type of exercise does all of the "Mayers" plan on doing? I think walking and probably stationary bike will be my initial thrust post op! I just wish my day was today and get this flab rolling...

Hey Chevygirl!! Wow your amost a April Bander!! I know you must be happy. It seems to me that time is dragging out but I am mentally ready. I am not planning to be off work too many days. Leave the country I am in now on Tuesday 9th, surgery in Mexico the Wednesday 10th ., back to work country on the 13th after all day flying!! And io work on the 15th. How long is everyone planning on being off from work?

Hello, I am 38 % Yankee. Maybe that is why as I child I went to the Yankees games all of the time? I only lived about 20 blocks and a bridge away..!!

Great to have you with the Mayers. Heresdeb!!! We all have the same goals in mind and we will achieve them. I have noticed that the last couple of weeks I have been eating more. Does that seem to be happening to anyone else? So if we get our bands in May we should see some nice results by Labor Day!!! I can't wait to feel comfortable in the Airplance and not all squished up and extremely obese. Kisses=Besos

Hello All...Future bander here.... I am a male and I was wondering if the males feel any discomfort from the port while being intimate? As you know our bodies do alot of motion being sexual and I am seeking knowedge if you have the same power as before? . Does your partner or partners notice the ports location ? Is the sex now better? Ladies has your sex life gotten better? Are banders more sexual now then pre banding? Thanks

Hey, As a future bander and a man I have been worrying about this. I like to be able to have the mobility that I currently have, and the port area is also scary.. Any men out there to tell me how the sex life is going after being banded? I have a big worry of being in the "mix" and the woman pulling the port area!!! ouch!!!!

Hello, I work in a financial industry office and sit most of the day. I am a man and have to wear suit and tie and belt. Unlike women I can not get away with wearing a long blouse of dress for comfort with an elatistic waist etc , mens clothes are more confining. How long after surgery does one feel comfortable sitting for a prolonged period and wearing suit and tie.

Hello, As many people on this board have to fly to Mexico , I would like to know if you upgrade to first class on the return flight to be comfortable in the seat ? As it is now for me the seatbelts and seats are a tight squeeeeeeeze! Thanks
