Hey May 2006 Band Creww!! We all seem to be doing so well. Lets get this last week in with no problem!! How are the first week people feeling and are youi losing any weight yet? How is everyone doing on the food stages? I fly to my doctor tomorrow for my 2 week post op. I have been feeling hungry and no restriction whatsoever....I hope they can find a solution to this issue. However I have been sticking to the plan they gave me and have only consumed what was on my list.....

Friends, I was told intially by the doctor that it is possible to have a fillin two weeks. I hope I do as I have to fly to the doctor for a 10 minute appointment for him to tell me come back in 2 weeks? When I go to boston it takes 3 days in total . One day to get there, one day for appoitnment,and one day to fly back. So if possible I would love to have an adjustment. I do not feel the band at all! I am still doing as they told me and have been on pure liquids. water and protein shakes and slight bit of yogurt in shakes. I know the doctor will do what is best for me and I will follow waht he/she says. But thanks everyone for you feedback which is vital to keep me grounded and informed... Peace and love

Wow, I am now an official member of the BMI over Fifty and the May 2006 Band Crew. Whoa.... I have the Vanguard band currently with now restrition ...I am 8 days post op...Big Paul I an chasing your records...I May get a fill next week on the 24th. We will see what will happen

Hello, I am a week out of being banded and I still do not have too much of an appetite. I do not have any restriction either. I may get a fill next week when I fly back to the states. Has any of the May 2006 Band Crew had a fill yet? How is everyones healing going? All of this liquid has given me some gas and I really do not have any food in me but protein shakes. I feel like it I want to let some of the wind out of me I might start a river flowing instead....lol Please check in first week banders and let us know how your making out... Peace and Love

Laurapar, That is great you had some soup. I have not had any "creamed soup". Does this also mean clam chowder but pureed in blender? Is that the deal will all soups put it in the blender?

Hello "May Band Crew 2006". I just had some egg beaters and it felt good to have some thing hot to eat. I have had protein drinks for over two weeks and needed a break. I will be going back to work tomorrow and I feel like it is no better time to go . Get it over and deal wth it. I just feel a little bit slower then usual but I will make it. Damn the "May Band Crew 2006" has grown to such a lovely team!!! All of you first May week banders must be getting ready for your mushies or already on them:clap2: !!.. I need to find some new food:hungry: ideas for the first two weeks? I do not fell any restriction at all!! Does everyone feel like that? HMMM:confused:

Now that I am banded it all seems so easy of an operation. I did slep in the recliner in the hotel the first and scond day but now it is easy in and out of the bed. I have been walking fo at least 30minutes a day and in Cold Ass Terrible weather in Boston.. Does Boston know that this is supposed to be spring? Rain, cold, shootings, etc..... I do have a concern as I seem to have a terrible taste in my mouth. I brush, mouthwash etc but still have that taste. Any suggestings on breathe fresheners?

I am Bandedas og May 11, 2006!!!!! Arrived in Boston and relaxed two day. Met my Doctor and office staff and the pre op testing etc. The next day was surgery and then a post op visit yesterday and flew back today. I did it with no problems at all. Everything went like clock work. The surgery was about an hour long. I did not evn have to stay over night. I was I feel like I did a thousand sit ups that is all. No , port pain either. I have been on protein shakes and yogurt, broth and will continue until I am 2 weeks post op and get mu first fill. I do not feel and restriction. I have the Vanguard Band!!

:update: Attention all MAY 2006 BAND CREW!!!!!!!!!!!!:update: :gluck: I would like to thank you all for all the support and information on the surgery. As I am scheduled for May 9th in Boston I have to pack my clothes tonight and fly there tomorrow:Banane15: . I will have Sunday to relax and Monday pre op in the doctors office and then Tuesday afternoon surgery. I will not be back to the country I work until Saturday 13th or Sunday 14th so I wish all the rest of the "CREW" to hang in there and be strong.!!! :help: Hello All, I have been on here a couple of months and I do not know how the port works. Ok they give you a needle for a fill. What stops the fluid from running back out of the port an into your body .:grouphug: ....

Ok Kim, But what stops the fluid from running out of the tube? There is not a cap on it, it is punctured when the needle goes in?

Susan, Just asking as I have to take a flight back after my surgery....You are having different sensations with the band? I could use a few more sensations in my life..lol!!!

Congrats Susan, Get all the rest you can and do exactly like the dr says.....Take care and keep us posted. How do you feel sitting in a chair and typing?
