Cutie...good for you! I like the Isopure drinks...25 mg.of protein...also they have a Isopure protein powder....2 scoops is 50 mg.of protein. Wow. I am in Monterey California..just got banded on Tuesday 8/19...feeling good today, had bad gas in shoulders first night and some tenderness today at port site. Otherwise..on top of the world! Weighed in at 260 on Tuesday and weighed myself this morning and I have already lost 7 lbs.! Wow. I guess I am on my way! Hi...I would love to be your buddy! I am 55, just got banded 2 days ago on 8/19/08. Kathleen in Monterey, California. Already lost 7 lbs. Wow I was scared too....but more scared about what would happen if I didn't get the help of a lap band. Keep in touch. All is going well with me...I survived the surgery, a little sore, liquid diet is going ok...walking more a little every day. I have 100 lbs. to lose...on my way! Kathleen

I thought Ibuprofen was a No No? Only Tylenol? I am reading my pre op stuff....so maybe after is ok? Head Hunger....deal with it in a support group...heard that it helps to get tips from others. I am getting banded on the 19th in Monterey California. BMI 40 WT. 262 Ht. 5'7 Goal weight 160 and getting off statins and bp meds and not getting diabetes! I am 55...Mom of 3 and one grandchild age 2 and want to extend my warranty. Hang in there Judie...I can see your smiling face and awesome spirit on your post. Kat in California

Take your vitamins as suggested. You won't lose hair. Follow all the directions. Join a weekly support group and go to it. My friends who have had the surgery have had NO problems with hair loss.

Good for you. I too will get banded on Tuesday the 19th. I am 55 yrs. old...live in California near Monterey....am 260 and 5"7... need to lose 100 lbs. We can do it. God Speed and Angels Safety to you...Angels will watch over us for sure! Kat

Hi....kat here...my surgery date is August 12th...woo hoo.... I am wondering about pre op food plan. Probably just going to do protein drinks 2 meals a day, cut out all sugar and caffeine, and eat sensibly. I am new to all this.
