Hi everyone, Not sure what happened this weekend but my what a difference. I had my 1 month post op last Friday and everything was perfectly fine. She told me that even though my first fill isn't until January 8th,if I feel the need to have the fill done sooner to call. Well not sure why or how this happened but by Saturday I noticed a big difference in my appetite and Sudnay ,I noticed I was looking for more food and I had hardly ANY restriction . I guess this is a major sign ,eh ? I felt discouraged (again) when I stepped on the scale this morning and it went up a pound and a half and i'm SURE it's because of this weekend. UGH!

Or two . First question . What does PB mean ? Second question. I have a 10 cc band (??),my first fill they put in 2 cc and my second fill,they only put 1 cc in ?? It's been a month since I had my last fill and now I pretty much have NO restriction. I'm frustrated and not sure what to do. Is this normal ?? They won't do a fill for me until 6 weeks after my last fill. I posted this is the Post op section but then realized ,I should have posted it here. I'm just worried that I'm doing something wrong ? I had surgery in November of 2008 and have lost 32 pounds since then,which my Doctor is pleased with but I'm not sure I am. I lost 30 prior to the surgery and now I feel like things are slowing down.:thumbup:

Hi everyone, I'm back again with another question. I had my 2nd fill almost a month ago and the last 2 days ,I've had very little restriction. I can even eat chicken and have it not feel like I'm having a heart attack. Has this happened to anyone else ? Is it normal for it to go away that quickly (restriction anyways),that didn't happen really after my first fill,I just stopped losing weight for a couple of weeks and then went to have my second fill. My doctor will not do another fill until 6 weeks past the last fill and the requirement would be that I hadn't lost any weight 2 weeks prior. Can anyone shed some light,I'm always worried it seems. Thank you!

I meant to ask,how often does your doctor allow you to get fills ?

It sounds very similar to my issue. The restriction I had after my first fill lasted longer than the second one.I ate chicken today just to test my band lol. I could eat it and I didn't like that.

I'm right there with you. I wish I would not have told anyone at work that I had it done. People are so NOSY!! I only told about 4 people but you know how word travels fast.

I don't think he'd bend on it. Their pretty strict.

Hi all, I have another question. Do you notice that some days your band is really tight ,where it seems everything seems many things have a hard time going down and then (for example) the next day ,the same foods that you had a hard time getting down before ,are fine? Is that typical ?

Hi everyone, I had my second fill almost 3 weeks ago . I'm only down 3 pounds since then and on top of that ,when I eat ,it feels difficult at time(uncomfortable). Is this what they mean by bandster hell ? Is this normal ? How can I get back to my faster weight loss? Any suggestions would be great. I'm pretty bummed out about it. I've lost 60 pounds in a years time but only 30 since the banding back in November. Have any of you experianced this ? Should I go back to a more liquid diet?

I think it depends on what your Doctor or Nutritionist says. I would think it would be ok but I can't for sure say.

Hi ! I guess I'm full of questions today. I have Fibromyalgia so when my stress levels fire up ,so do some aches and pains. I was curious if anyone else noticed an improvement with their Fibro symptoms after losing weight ? Thanks!

Hi All, I am 3 months post op. I noticed my port can sometimes be tender . It doesn't hurt though. Has anyone else experianced this ? I have also noticed that my port has moved?? My Husband thinks it's because i'm losing weight ??

Hi Everyone, I had my surgery on November 3rd of 2008 . I have lost 25 pounds since the surgery and I am very pleased but yet,I still think it should be more. Am I being just plain silly. I know everyone is different but I can't help but be greedy with my weight loss lol. I've had only one fill ,which is on January 8th and so far,I don't feel like I need another one. My weight loss tends to be sporadic,for example i'll go a whole week without losing anything and then i'll be down 2 pounds the following week. I am exercising on average of 4 to 5 times a week which I probably should kick it up a notch but anywhoo,to all you experianced bandsters,does this seem normal? Thanks ! :biggrin:

Hi there!! 30 pounds post op is incredible considering your just a tad over a month post op!! I stopped losing weight right before I had my first fill so that may be the issue . Have you had your first fill yet ?

We've all done stuff like that. The best thing you can do is forgive yourself and move on.

I've noticed the same problem but only recently. I'm 3 months post op. Not sure what's going on but i'm wondering if it's because i'm not getting enough protein.

Right before the surgery and for a short period of time, I was drinking a lot of the EAS shakes but got so sick of them and I wasn't fond of the taste. I do miss the weight loss that came with drinking them though. Do you guys have suggestions on what you like as far as Protein drinks ? That actually taste decent . Thanks!
